I have put up with it for 6 months but now I'm actually scared that I might fall thorugh my door!! My drivers seat wobbles from side to side. Its the whole seat not just the back so I'm hoping something can be done about it. Any ideas??

I know this is a tad extreme to my handle breaking but I obviously have 3 options: 1. Just buy another handle. 2. Fit delocked handles - Are the rears off a passat any more sturdy than the fronts? I'm guessing not but enlighten me if I am wrong :) 3. Go the whole hog and smooth out the doors and fit a nice cheeky button under the wing mirror. Has anyone done this? I've got the theory of how it works, just not sure about how to fit the button sweetly as there doesn't seem to be a huge amount of space. Any help/opinions will go towards sorting out the beast :) Cheers Mike

Ah mine may have been an after thought then as its a 1990 so quite early. Although it is done via the key turn+hold manoeuvre. I'll start stripping the beast this weekend :(

This is a fun problem......My electric window work but only when the drivers door is open!! Once they start opening I can close the door and they come down automatically, but to put either window up I need to open the drivers door again. The full closure works when I'm locking the car. I've had a peek behind the drivers door panel and the wires into the switch look ok and unbroken....any ideas? It's too hot!!! :(

Hi I know this has been touched on a few times but i was wondering if upgrading the headlight bulbs without doing anything else will be ok? I'm not technically minded (I'm more of an ideas man .... :wink: ) I've seen everyone mention changing the wiring loom etc...is this a tricky job? Its a 1990 1.8 16V if that helps :) Cheers
