Hi, I’m looking for an unsplit intake pipe. Thanks in advance!
-
I guess it’s worth putting it back then and seeing if it makes any difference.
-
If the other guy doesn’t want it please can you pm me.

One thing to note is that I’ve not got the fuel vapour solenoid fitted. Could this cause issues?
-
It doesn’t seem to no....

All the o2 and maf wiring seems to be correct. Does anyone have a 4 working pin maf they would like to sell?
-
Hi, I’m after a working 4-pin Vr6 maf. Let me know if you have one. Thanks,
-
I’ve taken each plug off and it runs much worse on each one... I have noticed that the car runs better for a while if you take the ecu off and put back on against Any ideas?
-
Also the car runs like his from cold... I believe the lambda doesn’t work until 70 degrees?
-
I’ve checked the Lamba plug odb1 oil pack engine. Yellow = Ecu pin 27 Brown = earth White = ecu pin 20 Red/white = earth Is the red and white meant to be to earth?

Does anybody have any readings that I should be getting at each wire? Thanks for the help so far!

Hi, I’ve done a Vr6 conversion into my mk2 golf. The car starts and drives but idle is erratic and if you put it under load it stutters then clears. The car has done a fair bit of starting and idling and not a lot of running. I have added a photo of the error codes that I have. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hi, The oil was changed when I put the engine in. I.e new but 5 years old! It has been started a few times but not run Upto proper temp. I’ll try an oil change to 10w40 and see if I get any change.
-
Thanks for the replies. So 10w40 would be the best bet?

Hi, I’ve replaced the engine in my car with a vr6. It’s done high miles (140k) but had a full history with it. I did the chains on it and put it in the car a good few years ago but never got round to using it! I ran it at the weekend for the first time and I’m getting some blue smoke at idle (just about see it) and then abit of a puff on acceleration. It’s currently running semi-synthetic Mobil 1 0w40. From what I’ve read this is abit too thin? Could this be adding to my blue smoke issues? The car has only been driven approx. 4 miles so I’m hoping it gets better not worse! Many thanks in advance.
-
Ah ok. Maybe that’s why it isn’t showing up errors. I’ve only really ran it for 5 mins at a time. I guess I will insure it and book an Mot and see if it makes it! Thanks for the help it’s much appreciated. Can anyone give me a definitive on what I can do with the pipes I have blanked off.
-
Hi sorry, to add I have plugged in vagcom and it doesn’t have any errors listed.
-
I have a pipe coming off the rocker cover going through a valve into the main inlet pipe. I have a pipe that comes off the diaphragm or whatever it is on that pipe that is blocked off. I have a pipe that’s blanked off coming off throttle body.. Is that workable?

Thanks Mark. I take it if I unplugged the MAF and it made it no better then I should ignore that as being the issue? What’s the best way to check for vacuum leaks? I think I’ve done wrong with blocking the pcv? The Idle is fairly irratic but at roughly the right rpm.

Hi, I’ve unplugged my MAF but it didn’t seem to make it any better or worse. O2 sensor, what’s the best way to check it other than replace it.

Hi, I’ve put a ODB1 Vr6 into my MK2 golf and have the a poor idle and a none clean pickup of revs. I haven’t driven the car on the road yet just in and out of the garage but it doesn’t seem to clear up. The car smokes pretty bad if rev’d, like a dark grey smoke. I have done the chains prior to putting the engine in, it’s had new plugs, new leads. Having taken the plugs back out they are all dry but very dark (this rubs off easy enough). I have a few things that I think are possible causes but I wanted to get some other opinions. The knock sensor has abit of damage to the plastic casing, I.e half of the plastic is missing. I have removed the carbon canister and blocked both the little pipe from the little pipe from the pcv and then also blocked the pipe coming out of the side of the head. The pipe was damaged so I took this approach. Also the ISV / damper is noisy, it hisses. Any help would be much appreciated!

Sounds good, where are you located?
