Ok, Ok, Sorry to rake over old ground again but am looking for some help. Purchased a pair of 1.8 16 kr cams. I want to get the pulley cut off the exhaust cam so it will fit into the inlet side of my 2.0 16v. The thing is l don't want to fork out loads. I did read some of you on here know places where it can be done competently. If anyone knows of anyone can you post their address or phone number. Cheers in advance Brooks Consequently also have a spare 1.8 16v inlet if anyone is interested.

This is going to sound like a funny problem but l'm just wondering if anyone has experienced the same thing. The accelerator on my 'rado seems to work fine (bit stiff) but on some occasions, especially when there is only a small amount of pressure on the accelerator, the car judders and lurches forward - a bit like when you release the clutch too quickly at low speed and it kangaroos forward. It has done this on the motorway about 70 mph but also pottering around town at 30mph. It only seems to occur at low revs but when you stick your foot down it flies and there is no prob. Spoke to a mechanic mate and he suggested the throttle sensor position but when we had a look he didn't have a clue - l'm not very mechanical either. If anyone has any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Gonna change the accelerator cable soon to see if this improves things but will keep you informed.

Hi all, The clutch on my 'rado has a low biting pont and recently l have had to remove the floormat to get it pressed properly. There is no slipping from the clutch but it makes it kangarooish when turning in car parks. Does this sound like the clutch on the way out? I know its hydraulic so there is no chance of adjusting it. What l want to know is should l replace the clutch (pricey!!) or is it the slave master cylinder that is the culprit? Any advice would be great. Cheers

Dear all, A friend has suggested that getting the head on my C ported and polished would lead to better things in the performance stakes. Is this true and if so where can it be done OR is he talking a load of s****? Cheers in Advance Brooksiooo *****MOD EDIT***** swearing-vr6storm

Looking for some advice, Have just put a deposit down on a L-reg 2.0 16v C. I managed to haggle the guy down by a few hundred quid so with this cash burning a whole in my pocket l was wondering about a little light tuning. The C is an absolute minter with no mods and one very careful owner. In terms of tuning l'm not a big fan of excessive exhaust noise. I was thinking of going along the lines of a different filter - maybe a K&N or just a panel swap, and a chip. It a has had a recent exhaust so l don't want to get rid of that. Will these mods work well? I basically still want the car to drive well but with perhaps a bit better response/ fuel consumption. Is that poss. Bo' selecta
