  1. nah not yet, not really had chance to look for them tbh. been concentrating on getting it sorted for its mot which is now has. im tilting towards getting the bodywork sorted.
  2. Have got it mot'd and tax'd yippee! im stuck now of what to do next, whether to get the body sorted or to get the seats sorted.
  3. i have given the rado's brakes a look over, and i have decided i only need rear disc's and rear pads so have just orderd them for now. also some more updates on the interior. i have put the door cards back on, im now just waiting for my new carpet for the car.
  4. okies i will have a look when i get home from work. im planning on having the mot done by end of next week so i need to get things sorted and during next week.
  5. im going to need front and rear brake pads for my rado. i just need some standard pads for now until i do a complete overhaul in next half dozen months. i need it to be mot'd! buses are starting to see me off! lol any way heres the issue my rado is a 1990 1.8 16v on a g plate, has a 6 digit number plate also, non private. as you can see they are also completely different. i believe i know why one with abs and one without but how do i find out which i need without taking the out?
  6. heres some pictures from the weekend and yesterday. not been able to get what i would like done due to work, but im getting there. with some fitted over this weekend, im hopeing to get it completely cleaned out, (most the mess ive made lol) and refit the centre tunnel. oh find out out if the alternator has decided to die.
  7. what fuse rating would be best to fit?
  8. have not been able to do much these past couple days, apart from check certain interior bits out to see if they broken. i would ideally need the whole passener vent minus ducting, and a centre console peice. or i would take the centre console vent slider thing (the oval peice that opens and closes) and the two seperate vents for that. if you could pm me with what you have great
  9. past few days have been pretty productive. i have prepped and painted 75% of the interior plastics :D this weekend. have started putting some of it back in also. will get some pics up of the progress asap.
  10. another productive day today after work, managed to get the dash out yay! that guide is pretty useful. after taking the dash out i finished off taken out the other plastic trims in the back and over the doors. also i noticed on my headlight wiring a wire has self destructed. looks like its been like it for some time check out the pics. guna see if i can re-pin it with a fresh better wire. you guys reccomend me checking or replacing anything while evrything is out? i.e heater matrix?
  11. oh right awesome! i shall check it out. yeah that glove box is a right pig :censored: lol. when i removed the front seats i was amazed at how easy that was, 1 10mm nut and slide the seat all the way back. as the meerkat would say simples!
  12. ok yesterday was quite productive! i got all the seats and pretty much all the plastic trim out only a few bits left. in about an hour it went from this! to this! the only thing that stumped me a bit was removing the dashboard its self. can anyone tell me how to do it?
  13. lol i wouldnt know at the moment as this is my first Rado and VW. may sound silly but if i have the seat set low i cant see over the bonnet :epicfail: , i currently drive a mr2 and i have that seat set as low as it can go. and have no problems lmao. the bonnet kinda reminds me of a yank muscle car, lol.
  14. the first things i will be removing are the front seats. so this should help out with getting access to them awkward screws! i am planning on spraying all the plastics a nice gloss black, with plenty of lacquer! replacing the carpet with a black one, and hopefully replace the interior with a better conditioned black interior. while all this is going on i will be wiring in a 4/5 ch amp under a front seat. this will power a set of components at the front and ive not planned the back yet, lol  as i dont know what speakers will be best for it lol. i dont want no subs doh.
  15. ok, i sorted out my fuses and relays, this needed to be done as my indicators wasnt working and a couple other things! but all gd now  next on my list is to take out the interior including all plastics. what tools are needed, and on a scale of 1 - 10 how easy 10 being easy 1 being hard? will post pics of my progress asap.
