Anyone?!

Hey guys, So over the winter the rado's battery was not best pleased :pale: - got in one morning and dead as a dodo. I thought this would simply be the weather, so i recharged the battery and she started on the button, however after a week the battery was flat again. My Dad jumped the car off his no problem again. - dead a day or so again....Thought this isnt good lets get it looked at - drove to a garage got a battery and altenator test and was told the alternator is at the lower end of the scale but still putting adequate charge in the battery so they thought if it keeps going flat the battery isnt retaining the charge. Bought a new battery and things have been fine over xmas and through this awful snow - so that 4/5 weeks since the new battery fitted and came to start her after the weekend yesterday and flat again???? :brickwall: Sounds like i have a bad earth or power drain for somehwere?? Any idea's or is it auto electrics/lots of money time??? :censored: Cheers James

Yeah i have the black cap so the older type! I will call in GSF on the way home tonight and pick up a new one anyway...be worth getting....as for the pipe I will try do the cleaning tonight weather permitting that is!!! :mad2:

Thanks Matey! I have noticed that the gearbox seems to be wet - as if water has leaked on it! I had to tighten the hose (bottom one from the water tank to the engine) and it looks wet and messy at that junction? Could the leak be coming from that hose? Is it a common hose to go??

Hey guys, I'm no genius with stuf flike this so bear with me....My rado is losing water quite rapid :( . Twice in about 2 weeks I have had a water light on start up (my guessing as its losing some water when its sat still?). I have yet to check the pil for mayo but will after work today and post back. The heating all seems fine in the car but i am still worried possibly head gasket. Last night got in the car and had the light so toppped the water up and went out for a drive, sat at KFC drive thru for ages and the temp crept over 110 without any fan kicking (switched off the engine) in so thinking some sort of sensor? No water warning lights so the levels must have been fine so collection of bust pipe and sensors or pooped head? Once on motorways engine cools to normal and no warning lights, MFA says oil temp is happy at about 98. Appreciate any thoughts James

Hey Guys, Anyone have any opinions on this?? I Have just seen a lads engine who just had it steam cleaned and it came up really well. My concern is any damage to electrics etc...my car runs perfect so dont wanna cause it any trouble!! :pale: Cheers J

Hey guys!! I bought a Corrado last week and the guy i bought it off gave me a set of sebrings actually 5!! they all have ample tread and are in good condition with just a few minor dinks! I am not the biggest fan of these rims and are getting a set of G60 rims so need rid of these....my car is on some other wheels at the mo which will be up for sale too!! Anyway my question jeez that took me a while..is how much should i ask for?? Cheers J
