500hp is pushing it a bit obviously. But I just want to know the potential the vr6 has, like im guessing putting a turbo or supercharger will give i think about 350hp and cost around 5k. P.s. What turbo do you guys normally use, i see from the forum you use the Gt35, if you wanted 500hp would you still use the gt35 or would you go up to a gt40 or something. What next, after a turbo, or is the turbo the be all and end all for increasing performance in a vr6. P.S. I want to spend about 5 - 10k on the corrado, trying to make it into a performance car, but right now im a little disappointed. I dont want to spend 10k and then realise I was better off buying an RS4 and putting a bigger turbo in that.

Guys what do you think is needed to make the corrado vr6 500bhp, what would the quater mile be with that. Just wondering if 12v vr6 has any potential. Recently brought a corrado vr6, but was upset with the lack of power.

Does obd1 vr6 have the same firing order as obd2

Hi im new to this forum, was recommended to join by friends. I have a problem, basically my corrado vr6 1993 had headgasket failure, so i brought a new engine. The seller said it should run fine. But now people are saying it will not run because my car is an obd1 and the engine is an obd2. The seller gave me the ecu and the engine, and said all i have to do is swap the engine and swap the ecu, and it should run. But thats not what im hearing now. Guys can you please help me, as Im no good with mechanics, and am getting worried my corrado will never run again. Will the car run if i just swap the engine and the ecu around. Im also hearing that it if it does magically run somehow, it will be running weird becasue the obd2 engine has alot of sensors, but they can be bipassed if i get the ecu chipped at an engine remapper place. Any help is good help, as i really dont know what to do.
