My engine (ADY) has a ISV... :ignore: :shrug:

But it only does it on idle.... and gets worse the longer I leave it... But is fine when running.

Hi People, Just the past couple mornings and afternoons to and from work, the car starts up but coughs and splutters for a minute or two. What should I be looking at? any usual suspects? :pale: Cheers James

Hey, Cant find this anywhere on the VAGCAT etc... and I have no part number (nothing on the pipe as its f****d :( Mine is split and well gunked up - so Can anyone help me out?? - part number etc or if anyone had one from a breaking thread etc! Diagnosed ti today further, is infact a switch that is f**cked on the rad. So no need for a new pump... yet. But I will uprate to the 16v one when I do.

dam i need to go get my electrics sorted tomorrow it seems to hover abound 100º is it safe to use still??

well basically i took my 8v for a little run to the shops and i noticed it had reached 100º by the time i got there ! i hadnt ragged it just 20mph there its never happended before , could it be my the thermostat ? i checked the pipes and they were hot . oil temp on the mfa saying about 70º has anyone else had this problem ?? thanks

Cheers, Yes cam and aux belt have been done. According to the paper work. I will look at the dizzy-cap etc too, cheers. The "ISV" -? - or do you just mean the ICV - Idle control valve? Thanks! Tez

Hello, Going to be giving my 2.08Valve 'rado as good going over this week. •Oils-gearbox-engine •Oil filter •Fuel filter •Brake disks and pads all round. (what brand? or just any good soilid disk?) •Spark plugs (again any certain type to get?? - sorry I have no books to refer too) •G12 coolant - flush and replace •Might change my HT leads too as they look shabby •Air filter (genuine or just go aftermarket?) Also are there any little things I could order so I have it ready to replace? like certain bushes that are likely to be worn..I know I will need to look. And any things i should defiantly check over while under her? The gear stick is extremely slack between gears, just needs the plains adjusting? as per the info on this site? Also going to change my rocker gasket as it weeps, anything i could look at while im in there? Cheers And sorry for the Q's :D Tez

Ok All 4 of the wheels are 4 / D90, 16" wheels. They are ALL 8" wide. With an offset / et figure of 52. 5X130/// Any ideas then?? 25mm adapting spacers? should fit ok?? thanks EDIT**Also I need some more Centre caps... Any ideas of where to buy these?
