Hi I have a problem, with my corrado g60. I have just replaced the conrod bearings. cause the where destroyed. but the crankshaft havent taken any damage. But I was driving today, to drive them in. When my oil warning lamp, begins to light. Then i pulled over to the side, and shut it down. Checked the oil level, it was fine. then i started up again. no weird sounds. went in and begin driving again, but then it start again, when i just revs it a little i stops the oil warning. i have replaced both of the sensors to oil pressure. but i havent messured the oil press yet. going to do it, first thing in the morning. any one who have had a problem like this. i getting long balls of my car right now. and anyone knows how much oil pressure it needs,? at idle and with som revs.? an i should measure it down with the oil filter is placed.? the sensors that sits there to the oil.

aha. well the corrado vr6 i was looking at, is a 1994 the new model. and the golf mr3 vr6 i mean is a 93, its the old engine. but i have kinder dropped the plans, cause i am in money need. just got fired, so i have to save money some where.
-
dont think it is. cause the picture shows, that i is melted just at the fuse box. so i should just a new engine wiring and it will fit hust fine into my g60 fusebox.? What do you mean about valver clocks? And tacho? I am not badass to wiring. but a diagram over it, helps alot. But the vr6 is with digital speedomter. where the g60 is with a cable..
-
okay. well i just found a cheap 2,9 vr6 from a 1994 corrado. where theres has been a fire in the cabin. so all of the interior is trown out. and there is all i need to swap engines. only thing that sucks, is the boardcomputer and cabin wirings is melted. so i need to have a new wiring. but what if i took the 1994 vr6 wiring to the engine, and the board computer isn´t that the same? cause thats my only problem i see there.
-
erny. now thats what i call helping:) yeah i was thinking that i should be the same. i might gonna do it, if i get that vr6 engine. what about gear ratio, my g60 is kind of low speed box, isn´t the vr6 a bit higher gearbox?
-
hmm. is´nt that with the old type of fueling system.? a mechanical system? have you checked fuel pressure or if it leaks a little?
-
first of all. I am a mechanic. But my major problem is the wiring, if its the same or not. the more srewing part is easy. i kind of already have worked it out. i would really most have 2,9vr6 in it. but i am a little bit confused. Right now, i have all electric gadgets in my car, and i will lose the a/c if i swap enginges. but i am also considering, building another charger on the g60 in stead. and make a frontmount intercooler. but the a/c kondenser and radioter fills up the space there. so i dont know where to put for max effect. netherlands is a really good drive away, but nothing that could be done in a day. buying a new corrado, with the vr6 engine, could be done, but not worth the money. sure some of them are cheap, but mostly young guys with a heavy foot, had driven them, and riced them out.
-
is it a g60 or a vr6? do you have it chiptunet? and what about, cams orginal? is the timing okay? any wires cut or broken? what about negativ cable on the gearbox or the body?
-
Hi. I would like to have a 2,9 vr6 in my g60 corrado. But i can found some cars, where all of the parts i need to swap over. But then i thougt about the golf 3 2,8 vr6 instead. cause they are really easy to find. But what should i use more, then engine, gearbox, driveshafts, wiring, ecu, and maybe some suspession. other things? And what about the wiring, thinking of, fuses and relays, stuff like that. Is it the same or? should i customize that.? And what should i look for of problems from the vr6 engine? ' hope some of you guys can help a litlle bit. then stay those corrado, orginal and alive:)
-
oh yeah, a little to study from that link. It´s a left hand drive car, which are imported from germany. orginal, there just was a full black leather interior with electric windows. now i have built over a aircondition and took the cruise control from a damage car. and i was wondering why it does not work. then i thougt i could ask in here:) but i will look deeply into it. cause it is really nice to drive with it.
-
how does the cruise control, get acticated in a 89 corrado g60.? it its a vacum controlled unit. but when i use the indicator or i use the cruise control. nothing happens.
-
okay. yeah just what i also thougt about. but I am gonna buy it:) what do you mean mounted corret? can it be mounted wrong.? and heat, can the orginal intercooler not handle it.? and what happens if i dont get another intercooler on it.? because i have aircondition mounted in the car, and the radiotor is placed where the rally intercooler is going to be mounted, and have never seen a g60 with, aircon, and a rally intercooler mounted at the same time. i just hate people driving with turbos playing so god dam smart ass. everybody has a turbo. hehe thanks. i got an okay grade in english.

is that a complete aftermarket kit.? cause in my g60, is a converted system from the old R12 to the new R134a. I have a a/c charger wich doesn´t work that well, and either needs rebuild or swapped to a new. I didn´t that you could buy a aftermarket system. Is the charger and everything with the system? and how much does it cost.?
-
Hi, corrado owners. I have a question. I own a g60 from 90, and I have heard alot of bullshit about the g-chargers. are they so bad.? what are yours experince with them? I have a small pulley on, a 65mm. cause i was thinking af putting a eaton m62 charger, complete rebuild with a pullet wich makes 0,6bar. And he had a car dynoed and made 183bhp. on a std engine. and the eatons are srew chargers. so they should be better and more relialbe to drive with. I have a idea aboutt running my car with a boost around 0,8bar. i only drive in the sommer months, around from april to late september. but i think the sound from eaton is sweet. but any one who drives with one or have some experiencee with them, how long the can hold and what kind of power you get. i know you dont get alot of power, then you should mount a gay turbo, i want my sg60 still be supercharged. but come with some answers or infos to the subject. i would be pleased. sorry for the rubbish english, i am from denmark and may have miss written some words.

hmm. well that sucks. I have a spare one, but when I had it started with that it didnt idle very good. But I dont know if thats because of the cam shaft. But the numbers on the ecu are not the same, so what can I do to verify thats is the ecu that is fucked up.`?
