Fitting coilovers this weekeend should be fun as i have never done this before. A quick question if anyone can help, i might aswell change the top mounts while im at it , so where can i get them from ? I have just had a read of a thread on here on how to ID knackered top mounts and mine seem to be fine so is it worth me changing 'em ?

I had this problem i just "adjusted" the passenger one by bending it a touch sorted it straight away

I have changed the filter to a bmc cotton filter and seems to be fine . It had a pipercross fitted which was gunked up with flies etc. I have read about the carbon cannister removal but was a bit of a chicken because there were lots of pipes that i was unsure about what they did . Gonna price up an oil cooler because as you probably know some times temps can get a little high gona flush the radiator aswell i think sure that would help things along. I could do with a seperate switch for my fans as they do not seem to kick in early enough

Gonna have a look at the wheel arch thing sounds useful that mate. Think il forget about the boost return thing just thought it might be fun for a bit. Im up in the north so theres no specialist up here for G60's nearest i think is jabbasport although i can send the charger etc away to g-werks its not the same as letting them have a look over it but lost my passport so not allowed down south :lol:

Might be saving along time for them mods they dont sound cheap , i have been told that the intercoolers are a bit crap as i think they are down near the wheel arch ? Have you got any knowledge of the boost return removal thing ? gettin' mixed reviews

Im running the smaller pulley an it must have been chipped because it runs great , steady idle and no hasitation etc. The fella i bought it from said that a couple of vw mechanics had owned it previous so they must have sorted it . Dont think i could go back to a standard pulley probably be disapointed wouldn't i ?

Here is my g60 . She is mostly standard although it does have oz wheels and i have just had a full stainless exhaust fitted whick although a little noisy sounds amazing when i boot it :D . The previous owner must have fitted a smaller pulley because when i sent the charger to g werks they sent it back with a standard pulley which was bigger (result). Oh forgot to mention she has covered just over 230000 miles ! Plans are to fit coilovers soon as the lowering springs have given up and laquer is flakin on the tailgate so quick re-spray required. The front bumper has been damaged by previous owner so require new front bumper if anyone out there has one spare ?
