ok so today a new fucking story got all the leaks sorted so took out for a run to get warm. everything fine until the temp went through the roof. so pulled over and exspantion tank was empty, so put in some more water but couldnt see any drips from under the engine.... on way back temp had dropped and i thought fuck it, i put my foot down and nothing, no fucking power. so now i think there may be a boost leak or the charger is completely fucked!!! So after all this shit im still no closer to getting it sorted. lets hope that tomorrow is a better day so i can have a prop[er look without getting pissed on!

Right o, just an update Got everything put back together yesterday and left the themostat out. ran the car for 10 mins and everything got warm. Bottom hose, rad, top hose etc... so it looks like its ok So im just waiting for the lower temp thermostat and pan switch to arrive then i will try them. Also i filled up from the top of the rad.

So anyways, i managed to get one from a motorbike fixings engineer in spilsby, lincolnshire. Fitted and worked a treat. Stu (panic over)

Now then all, so while putting my charger back in the bay the oil feed banjo bolt has snapped, lucky i managed to get it out. BUT Where can i get one ASAP as in next day or monday Im fucked as i will need the car for work.GSF? Motorfactors? Allwoods, Motorsave etc... i will be trying tomorrow but for now please help Stu

p.s. forgot to say, Fan isnt coming on at all, even when the water is bubbling out the exspantion tank. I think this is due to the bottom half of the rad being cold still

your old one opens massivly, the one i bought opened about an inch then stopped. :censored: i wish i wasnt at work :S Cheers for the help

right, im pretty 99.9% its fitted the correct way but just reasure myself after you said that, you got a pic or owt? if that dont work, im gonna run without it

Ok so today, I took the return pipe to the exspansion tank and blew down the tank its self. water was coming out of the smaller tube, but i dont know if enough was pushed out to remove the airlock (if one) Secondly, i think im gonna get the lower degC one too, as im fucked off with shitty t-stats Cheers for the info Dan (and everybody else)

So anyway, changed the water pump, thermostat. Filled with coolant, went out for 4 miles, stopped and it pissed water out of the exspansion tank again... felt down the rad, one half hot, other half cold. bottom hose from thermostat, cold! Im out of idea's now.... Anybody else? p.s. i tried the thermostat in boiling water befor i put it in
