  1. My C has been Stalling the last few days when it is idling in Drive, when in neutral or any other gear it is fine, but once in Drive it will sputter a bit and then flat die. If I give it gas it remains running. Does anyone have any suggestions? My C is a 91 G60 Automatic. Cheers in advance. Paul
  2. Sounds like a faulty ignition switch. I had similar problems with mine about a year ago. It would start fine sometimes and do nothing others. The ignition switch itself is not very expensive and easy to find, the problem is getting it out. The Bently manual tells you to drill it out. I know that people have gotten around this by bending a small screwdriver which will allow you to get access to it. If you have the patience you might try to this. If not, like me you can get it done for not to much. Cheers.
  3. This is a rather random problem that my C tends to have and is rather difficult to explain. When I am making a turn, be it left or right at an intersection or anywhere for that matter and I go through a puddle of water, my steering temporarily loses the power assit. It goes away after about 20-30 seconds and then returns. In my experience this only occurs when traveling through a inch or so deep of water. Any thoughts? Cheers in advance.
  4. Well fixed the handle. But the entire driver side seatbelt mechanism needed to be replaced. $1093. To hell with it Ill use the backup latch in the column.
  5. So I go to get in my C, I unlock it, everything seems okay go to open the door and..nothing. The handle feels very loose and does not work. the passeger side works fine so I simply lean over and open the door from the inside. Okay-kind of a pain in the ass to do everytime but for a few days I can live with it. So tonight the auto seat belt starts acting up. The motor runs but the seat belt never moves. I had to physically run it along the track to get it to click then the motor stops. All of this on the drivers side. Whats next is the door going to fall off? Has anyone experienced this or know what may be going on? Cheers in advance. Paul 91 G60
  6. I had a similar problem, my ABS light would come on and the stereo would turn itself on and off randomly. Turned out to be a faulty ignition switch. Had it replaced and haven't experienced it since.
  7. Had the ignition switch replaced. Problem solved.

    trans service

I also have a US spec G-60 with an auto transmission, there really is not much to servicing it, so long as nothing is wrong. Change fluid, lube, etc.

    MFA Oil Issues!

Mine does this as well. The temp will jump 10-15 degrees. I tried to figure it out for a while but gave up.
  10. I'm having a problem with rear tire wear. I've had my alignment checked and and am running proper air pressure but my rear tires are cupping. I've heard this is a problem inhaerent of all corrados and that there is some sort of after market shim that is supposed to reduce this. Any thoughts? Paul.
  11. My Corrado is having a bit of trouble starting these days. When trying to start the car the ignition clicks but nothing happens. I am forced to push the key very hard into the ignition and after many attempts the car will eventually turn over. On days when the interior of the car is hot, the car will not start at all. I think that the problem lies within the ignition but not 100% sure. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. 91 G60 1.8 8-valve.
