    hot oil !!

I've had a look at the colour of the coolant it looks normal, no difference in colour. Got full history so always been changed with the correct stuff. My car hasn't got mega miles on it either. Do you think it's worth trying the sensors first. Could there be a blockage in the oil system. Which manual would you suggest for helping me work on it. Oh I'm not a fella thanks Jim

    hot oil !!

Was on the motorway just made it home didn't drive far. Have replaced the thermostat only couple of months ago and been serviced at vw so had coolant flush. Is the heat exchanger a big jub to get off. What about a blockage in the oil system?. Could it be the sensor where is it?. I have been having a problem with the fan not coming in could it be wiring. Anything I could check. Thaks for any help as my lovely car is just sat on my drive.

    hot oil !!

Not sure if anyone could give me a few ideas of what I could look at to mend my poorly corrado. I've got a '93' vr6 and today when driving home on the motorway had a hot oil temp. The dash was reading up to 160. The coolant wasn't very hot running at about 90-110. Just don't understand. Any help on what to look at first would be good. Lindsay

  7. My car as just failed its MOT on the r/h rear wishbone bush :( . I am going to attempt change the wishbone my self, but noticed the the front bolt in the wishbone is really close to the sump. Do you need any specialist tools or is it a case of removing the sump? Cheers Linz
  8. just wondering if anyone knows how easy it is to change an aux water pump. VAG only quoted me 1/2 hour labour so can't be so hard. Any help on doing the job would help as well. Am I best with the VAG part or the GSF. Not a big diff in price both about 70 quid Thanks Linz
