So I think I have worked out that I don't have a standard mount and the OEM one that I have ordered looks exactly like the one being fitted in the Clutch and Cam Chain replacement "How To" in the Knowledge Base. Of course the OEM one won't come with any fixing bolts and the one fitted has nuts on studs (just like the Vibratechnics one) so now can anyone advise what size bolts I need for the top and bottom of the mount? Also does this cap http://wiki.the-corrado.net/image_cc_326.html support anything or just protect the bottom of the mount? It didn't seem too on the mount as fitted (couldn't really work out why it was there with the current mount fitted) but maybe it does with a standard mount. Only reason i ask is one of the studs snapped off when i undid it last night :mad2: If it is just a cover then 2 fixings will be fine I am sure but if it holds the mount in place it may be a different story.

Anybody got a picture of a front engine mount on a VR6 fitted in situ? Engine is making a good job of trying to jump out of the engine bay at the moment as the front mount is FUBAR. Ordered a replacement but looking at its picture it is very different to the one that is currently fitted. I wondered if what was fitted was a Vibratechnic one (as that's what it lookslike) but there is no reference in the cars(very comprehensive) service history that one has ever been fitted. I just really need to compare mine with another standard to prove one way or another. Cheers in advance.
