What width are your wheels? Just asking because I want to lower my car say 30-40mm, but at the moment on the front wheels theres very little room between the tyre and shocker! I'm just worred if I go lower etc I will get rubbing problems and I have to fit spacers to give more room between the shocks and tyres! How low have you gone?
-
What surspension set up have you got bluslc?
-
No not that I know of? I've only had them on about a month though! I bought them from Style dynamics and the guys there surggested having diffrent off sets on the front and rear!
-
Is my offset on the rear not right then? as its 25?
-
I have 7.5x16 brock b2 on mine with 25off set on the rear and a 35off set on the front (you can fit a wider wheel under the rear arches, I just stayed with the 7.5 but had a lower off set so it pushed the wheel outwards a little, this gives a flusher look)!

How much have you lowered your Corrado? Do you have any problems like scraping on speed bumps etc? Thanks.

I have a 1.8 16v Corrado I've had tons of problems with water, hose, oil leaks etc I had loads of oily shit in my expansion tank, so we changed the oil cooler and it did'nt get any better so I thought the head had gone! so I took it to a VW specialist and they said it was'nt my head it was just all the shit left stuck in my hose's etc, so he flushed all the shit with a fuel cleaner and that sorted that! but I was losing water so I thought my head must of deffinatly gone but that ended up being my expansion cap it had a fault in it and leaked water! i had two oil leaks my sump gasket and my cylinder head which ment a head gasket! I paid £230 and he said it would cost a extra £130 for a skim etc!! Money Money Money all the time!!!! (Good job I love the car)!

Someone on Club Gti forum has just gave me an idea! Koni ajustable dampers with Eibach springs (I thought about this before but people said I will hardly see the drop as the 30mm seems more like20mm) He said why not run this set up with some lowering caps! Bingo!!! A top set up that I can afford! I use the car every day and don't want to slam it just get rid of some of the room between the arch and the wheel! I think the Dampers and springs come to somthing like: £420 (dont know if thats with or without VAT? How much are lowering caps? Is it wise to use lowering caps?

Why pay more for Supersport one's if Raceland one's are supposed to be better in a lot of ways?

I have recently fitted some 7.5x16" Brock B2 to my C and want to lower the car as theres loads of room let that needs filling! I want coilovers but the Koni ones etc cost the earth! I use my C as a daily driver, and want to lower it by about 30-40mm and like the idea of changing the height from time to time etc! So I've been looking at Supersport coilovers as they only cost about £450, I've spoken to people who run these and there all impressed with the ride, look and quality of the coilover, but during my little investigation I have come to the conclusion that the coilovers by Raceland are supposed to be even better than the Supersport ones! (And even cheaper at about £350)! I spoke to the guys at Style dynamics and they said they have had a few cars in that are running on Raceland coilover and there a good quality product! I've never really considered Raceland as I thought they must be pretty crap as the prices are so low! But from what quite a lot of people have said on quite a few different forums there really good and have had nothing but praise! So please dont take the piss because I'm serously thinking of getting some! (I'll let you know hoew they are if I buy them)! P.S. I know you they are only height ajustable!

Thanks! I've just bought some wheels! should get them this weekend! I've bought some Brock B2 with polished rim :front:7.5x16 offset:35. rear:7.5x16 offset:25 I'm just undecided about coilover etc? I was thinking of Koni damperners and Eibach spring!???

I have a 16v C and would like to lower it about 40mm! Coilovers seem a little pricy! Are Supersport Coilovers any good? Or should I just get Koni damperners and Eibach spring?

I have just bought a Radiator from German & Swedish for my 16v C they charged me £45+VAT but VW price was £129.72!!! Will VW Radiator be any better than the aftermarket one I bought? if so how much better? Where do you lot get your parts from? Dont get me wrong I'd like to keep it all original gear but its just to costly for me! Especially when I have to pay close to £300quid for a new head gasket, sump gasket and to fit the radiator on Wednesday, oh yeah and £680 for some new wheels before Christmas! Tar! Sefton
