  1. ive got a corrado g60 gearbox with a cable change geartower. there is quite alot of throw between gears, just wondering if anyone knows if there is a quickshift kit i could use??
  2. for a while ive been wondering whether my charger is knackered, as sometimes on full throttle, its pants! ive got a stage 4 charger and 68mm pulley, big valve head and 272 cam. just fitted my boost guage and its pushing about 10-11 psi. is this normal?? any help appreciated
  3. ive got a g60 lump in my caddy van, and i want to wire up an oil temp guage. i know they were fitted as standard on the corrado for the mfa, but dont know where it is?? is it the sender on the side of the head by the charger oil feed pipe??
  4. yeah i have read about it on their website, but wasnt to sure whether it is just a 'myth' or something?? mine does sound like digi-lag, i will have to get a chip and see i guess 8)
  5. ive heard and read alot about digi lag on the g60, but not really certain on how to identify it?? if im nailing my car it gets flat spots on gear change, usually in 4th and 5th. could this be digi lag?? im still running standard chip to. ive heard the sns chips are good for eliminating the lag? any input is great fellas!
  6. yeah got the switches mate, done the job. thanks for that one fella! i was thinking just getting the box re-conned, and vr6 top gear. gotta speak to my local gearbox technician, he is an absoloute genious!
  7. cheers for the link. yeah it is the CTN box, which i was hoping for :) got it for free, so cant complain!!
  8. its an O2A. i see ctn is quite a popular choice
  9. i heard the tdi boxes are better because the ratios are better suited. ive just ripped an 02A box out of a tdi and planning to get it reconditioned, but is this the one to use or is there a different box better suited?? also, is there any gearing that has to be changed when fitting, ie 5th?? everything else looks the same as the standard box on there, so im guessing its almost a straight swap. if anyone could shed some light that would be awesome!
  10. well....my local performance shop is completely sodding useless!!! ordered my boost pipes and boost guage over a month ago, and still nothing!!! also got the feeling my headgasket has gone :( there is always alot of pressure in my header tank, even when cold
  11. stage 4 charger. what pressure should it be running?
  12. cheers fella! am in the midst of checking the boost system, replacing perishing hoses, but i am in need of a boost guage! one other thing i thought of is, i have a straight through exhaust system and it was to loud, so i fitted a decibel reducer in to the tailpipe, and welded it in. when i give it a good hiding, it does sound like it it strangeling it a little!? could it be creating too much back pressure?? hence holding back?
  13. it did hessitate before i fitted the switches on full throttle. now it does goes when you want it to....just not all that well! dont really know where else to look apart from boost, or charger. but i do hear alot about people changing the ecu relays?? whats all that about?
  14. spare set now fitted. does go better but still holding back :( need to get boost guage fitted
  15. tested it open and closed, and the reading didnt change, sat at 0. suggesting to me an open circuit.
  16. already have mate. well i done an ohms resistance check. dont get any reading whatsoever when stage 2 micro switch is engaged
  17. Was gonna rip them apart for cleaning, but as its my daily, dont want to risk damaging them even more! when i get the spare set from veedubbed i can have a play! will post when i get them
  18. new switches are on back order :censored: many thanks to VEEDUBBED for donating me a spare set to try out. will post up when they are fitted
  19. switches already ordered now. arriving 2morrow, so will let you know the results. cheers though fella, appreciate that!
  20. had a thought about it, i decided to order the new set. im pretty sure thats what has gone tits up, and i thought if i fit them and it still runs shite its defo something else! where as if i fitted a second hand set, id have no guarantee they are fully functioning. still screwing at the 100 notes its costing though!! cheers for the offer though fella, fully appreciate it! now you dug them out you can stick them on the 'bay' :)
  21. yeah have tried that today. held the throttle open at about 2k revs and pushed the microswitch with hardly noticable, if any difference. yet when i held it open and pushed in the idle switch it went frikkin bonkers!! ive got my boss to order me a set of switches but if you have a spare set which are working, i'll bloody have em!! let me know asap, cheers fella also tested my heated lambda today as thought that may be part of the problem, but that came up trumps!
  22. think my throttle switches are messing around, ive disconnected the plug and tried my ohms meter over the pins, the reading fluctuates when going on and off the stage 1 switch, but i dont seem to get any reading when it goes to stage 2. new switches are £100, so i dont want to order unless completely necessary! is there any other way to test them?? should it be giving me an ohms reading on stage 2?? cheers guys
  23. not for me mate. my corrado engine is sat in the bay of a caddy van :norty: mk3 golf clocks = no mfa tricks
