  1. my corrado vr6 on ebay :( http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271038998227?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  2. Hi all After a set of VR6 clocks as mine have gone crazy, there from a 1992 corrado vr6. here is the part number: cheers
  3. Corrado VR6 grill badge if anyone has one please? thanks
  4. cheers for your help chaps, nice how to tom, had a google search seems you change it by stripping the distributer. the problem seems to be finding the part, may have to give bosch a call. yeh i thought that about the wiring upon closer inspection its silicone sealant stuck to the wires not burnage!
  5. hmm it does drive like the ignition timing is retarded. so mine being an early distributer model it dosent have a cam sensor? but has the following sensor seen in the image instead?? i cant find it on etka so assuming it comes as a whole distributer? :( interesting i appear to have an earth connection adrift which you can see pictured, cant find a wire for it mind... ---------- Post added at 07:57 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:48 PM ---------- the fault code for the hall sender g40 fault is 00515
  6. thanks man, just rang TPS an its NLA for a 1992 model, they can only supply 93 onwards. Anyone else had this trouble? seems im fairly screwed. yeh it is low on power :(
  7. hi all got abit of low rev hesitation, so thought i'd plug it in, have the following faults: Hall sensor-G40 open short circuit to positive engine speed sensor-g28 no signal any ideas??
  8. My auxilary water pump was disconnected when i bought my corrado vr6, some people say leave it disconnected others say connect it, i was under the illusion it only ran when the ignition was off for a short time. But after searching on here it would appear it runs all the time the ignition is on? this made me think its probably a good idea to have it working. Anyhow i re-connected it and it still didnt work, traced the wire to the fan control unit and looked at the pin diagram on the unit and it appears that theres no output to where my auxilary pump wire goes, hmmm odd. anyhow looked on etka and realised i have the incorrect control unit. Part number of the one fitted to my car is 1H0 941 597. according to etka it should be 1HO 919 506 A looked on ebay for them and sure enough the correct part has a pin labelled WP, assuming this is the auxilary water pump :) £14 inc. postage, fingers crossed it works!
  9. thanks man, have managed to get a copy of ETKA, that is the correct part number for mine too :) if anyone wants any parts looking up then hollar
  10. if its a 1992 model it may well pass the MOT as the CAT is not mandatry untill August 1992, if so anything on a k reg without a CAT %99 of the time wont have a CAT test during the MOT!
  11. hi all wonder if someone out there can help me, im after the blue temp sensor for my 1992 vw corrado vr6 2.9 distributer model. ran tps and they say theres 6 different types and need me to supply the part number. only problem is mine has a non genuine sensor with no part number. can anyone help? anyway i can get a copy of the vw parts catalogue, is it etka? cheers
  12. yeh hes going to remove all the pipes and inlet manifold, hopefull nothings slipped into the bores!!!
  13. im not sure he's ever seen the limiter in his life :) he works for the council!! he bought one off ebay last night which hes going to get refurbed, cheers for the advice chaps!
