  4. http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?3778393-Where-Is-the-ABS-Module-In-my-Corrado-vr6-1993 Does this look familiar to anyone? Cheers Dan
  5. Is the ecu just a chip or is it the actual modulator unit? I'm sorry I'm just a bit confused as I'm not particually mechanically literate but have been told its the modulator I need which I don't think is either of these parts? Cheers Dan
  6. I think it's the ecu that I need, but may be both. Do you have both for sale? £?? Cheers Dan
  7. Need a working abs modulator to get her back on the road. Please get in contact if you have one you wish to sell at a fair price. Cheers Dan
  8. Guys, Im thoroughly confused. I was told I need a new Abs Pump/Modulator. Sites such as BBA Reman are selling ABS Pump/Modulator/Control Unit as one...but these are 3 seperate units right?! I can see that the pump is the thing under the bonnet with all the pipes going into it (part number 356 614 217 if my eyesight is correct) and the ECU or 'Control Unit' is in the area of fuses/drivers footwell (I have read). I havnt worked out where the modulator could be housed. But surely all three of these things cant have failed, as my mechanics computer suggested. If anyone can shed any light on this id appreciate it. I can only apologise for my ignorance... Thanks guys
  9. Hi Paul, sent you 2 PMs but Im not convinced either one was sent as no record was shown in my send box?! Amyway I went and had a look at i believe either of these two numbers should be the part number...

    10.020-0053.4

    or

356 614 217...does either of those seem right to you?

    Cheers Dan

  10. Hi guys, So after taking my beloved Rado in for the MomentOfTerror it came up with two fault codes regarding the braking system. One was the offside front wheel speed sensor (fixed 127 pounds later) and the other is the ABS modulator. My mechanic checked for water ingress/grime build up on the connectors and they're all good so looks like I need a new unit! BBA Reman will do an exchange for 525 pounds but this is well out of my price range, especially considering there are a number of other issues to be addressed if I want the car to pass MOT. Does anyone have a working ABS modulator they would be willing to sell for a fair price? Any feedback would be great, thanks in advance!! Dan
  11. Hi Neil, Just thought you would be interested to know I now have her! Bought her in the Autumn last year, she shows 123K on the clock but had a replacement engine with 80K on it put in not so long ago. Still a tidy motor gets lots of attention but Im sure she doesnt look as good as a few years ago
