Thanks for the advice. The idea of taking the thermostat out was to thoroughly flush the engine block and radiator as i suspect the anti freeze had been in for some considerable time and was not G12 coloured. I could not get the back socket head cap screw out of the thermostat housing so i didn't succeed in getting the thermostat out on this occasion. The 4c temprature last weekend decided me that it could wait. :( However, it now has G12 antifreeze in it and an anti corrosion product as the car will not be in use over the winter. I will review the cooling system in new year.

Hi. Am i right in thinking the thermostat on vr is on the right side of the engine looking from the front? Also is the housing for the thermostat bolted on with conventional bolts, torx,or allen? Cheers Mark

Hi, Has any one got any tips on how to remove the hand brake grip? I know there is a clip that releases it on the underside but which direction do you push it in? I remember having problems with this some years back on my first rado? :? Mark

Hi, i have recently purchased a 1995 VR6 Corrado. It's got a cracked driver's side front fog light - have looked on ebay and some people seem to be asking quite high prices for them (I previously owned a 1991 G60 which i had to replace a front fog light lens which only cost £22 from the breakers about four years ago). I've seen early model fog light lens for sale but i'm not sure if this would fit my 1995 model? Mark
