  1. It could be the Bosch number what's the 2 numbers u have and I will check the label on mine and see if any of then match

  7. We'll I can remember on my old corrado that the alternator went so I phoned up gsf car parts and they do a recon one for £95 ( if u haggle I got mine for £85 lol)and u give them your old one I don't know if that helps u :)

  9. Hi Matt, yeh the oil never goes above 110 in traffic I had the car out today and it's still showing about 72-78 on the water gauge unless stopped with the engine running, I have looked at your site and I will defos go on and get a low temp stat and a few other bits and bobs :) thanks

Thanks mate I will check it right away I thought it might have a cool running thermostat but even that wouldn't make it run that cool, only thing is that the oil temp is mega low if your on the motorway it won't go above 76 degrees on the mfa but sitting in traffic it will shoot up to about 100+ could the oil cooler be the reason for that?
  12. Hi guys have bought a new g60, it seams to have a lot of work done to it like Green top injectors. New fuel rail New pressure gauge. Front mount intercooler Oil cooler And full exhaust system + manifold. My problem is that the car on the mfa doesn't go above 76 unless sitting in traffic and the water temp doesn't go above 79 ish is my car running to cold oh my heaters don't heat up as well could that have something to do with the low temps

Hi guys I have just bought another corrado g60 :), my question is when you try to put the car into second gear it won't go sometimes but if u do it slowly it goes no problem does anyone know what the problem could be the rest of the gears at fine it's just going into second that it does it Thanks

  16. hiya mate this might help to, if u buy the vw mag in the back pages there is a company who will trade your old 1.8 8v engine for a new one fully rebuilt for around £650. hope that helps :).
  17. yeh it looks like thats another £250 well spent lol. Im going to see whn i get home if i can move the two filters to the bottom ov the bumpers to try n stop to much heat soak i will post sum picks if i can manage it. Will probs take a while as samco take forever to send out hoses lol.
  18. lol fair enough mate. erm what do u mean that the theory behind it makes no sense, if u mean by getting rid of the boost return pipe, basically it returns hot air back to the supercharger witch the engine hasn't used and hot air and bhp don't mix. so by cutting out the return pipe and venting it to atmosphere you dont have eny hot air going into your charger and your boost temps will be lower. you will see better throttle response and you might notice it being a bit quicker. what kind of exhaust do u have on the car just now.
  19. hiya mate erm i asked the same question as u. The noise from the boost return pipe isnt as loud as a dump vaule unless you have ur bonnet open and u give it sum lol. I got my boost return kit from swg moter sport it was £245 for the twin filter kit as for performance wise i havent seen eny grate performance gain but the car seems to pick up much quicker and seems less asmatic at high revs. Hope this helps :)

  21. yeh ive heard about the toothed belt problems so i will defos stay clear ov that. erm yeh i want going to get an off the shelf map cse tbh i dont trust them. where abouts is dg autotech do u know eny good places in scotland i could get my car mapped if dg is in england.

  24. yeh its just an idea i was kicking about but u have kinda convinced me to go for it lol. How much are we talking if i was tgo get it done. I was going to send my engine off to get board out to a 1.9 with forged pistons etc so i could just get that done then when the engines out the car get the 16v head fitted. I will read up on both heads and c what i want to do lol. Would it be possible forme to come and c urs so i kinda knw what im up ageins lol.
  25. hiya guys, Yeh you are right the tuning bug does just hit you and never really goes away lol. cse my corrado was my dads for years and years, he says he got to old for the coilovers that i put on lol :) so i bought it off him cse i always wanted it from a young age. It has already got a stage 4 rebuild on the charger full 2.5" exhaust and coilies oh and i done the boost return delete with the twin fillter kit. i have got a 68mm pulley coming soon and a 4 branch manifold. i wouldnt like to swap the engine out tbh cse g60s are getting quite thin on the ground as it is and the 1.8t doesnt have the amazing sound like the g60, in sayin that tho would mined one of they bbm charger lol.
