  1. Hi folks, looking for anyone breaking a Corrado in Scotland (willing to travel a little bit as I am in Aberdeenshire) looking for a Windscreen, whether its still in the car or already out. Any help appreciated, thanks.
  2. Hi Bill, nice speaking to you yesterday. Was good to speak to another Corrado owner since there were no others in the show or club stands. A few really nice mk2's golfs and mk2 roccos there. Good variety of cars on display and some mint examples too. Hope you and your family enjoyed the day out.
  3. Hi, also not on here much but thought I would congratulate N3P on winning best Corrado on Sunday since I never got the opportunity to say in person after the awards. Well deserved and found out a lot about your car during the brief chats we had throughout the day. To my surprise, I got to take the winners spot with my red g60 on Saturday. Was a great show and loads of amazing cars. Good effort to all that attended.
  4. Hi, interested in the 15" space saver including tool kit & also the rear black ash tray. Are these still available? PM me with details
  5. I am also in the process of getting mine done just now, body shop quoted me around £1500 for full respray including doing a few extra bits and pieces. Helps to do a bit of the work yourself if you have the facilities. I removed everything to a rolling shell and I stripped the paint down to bare metal and primered it myself.
  6. Nice pictures, car sits really well on those wheels. You have quite a bit of snow down there. I didn't have time to take pics of mine in the snow this morning as I was late for work!
  7. Yeah we should. I know there is a few up here kicking around but hardly see them, especially at this time of year as most are tucked up in the garage. Spring time next year methinks.
  8. Haha yeah, I was in paying for the diesel. I couldn't believe it when I came out the door and seen the two together. I thought it could only be you. I would have stayed to chat but was in a hurry to pick someone up. Some other time? You think yours was bad! Try to wash mine twice a week but its impossible living out in the country at this time of year.
  9. Car was looking spot on tonight mate :D Finally got to see it up close. Good to see its back running again after a small hick-up!
  10. It's fairly straight forward in fitting the engine, few minor mods here and there but its mostly the electrical side of things that is slightly more challenging. If you have wiring diagrams of the corrado and the donor engine it shouldn't be too bad. Its best to have a complete donor car rather than just the engine, box, loom and ecu as there is some useful little bits and pieces elsewhere that are forgotten about.
  11. Cheers mate, I'll probably be joining that soon. Just thought I would bore you all with the little mods that this car has got. Goodridge stainless steel brake hoses all round Induction kit G60 standard intercooler Custom made intercooler pipe Kenwood 12" 900W sub enclosure in boot TDI chip tuning box - arriving in the next few days Oversize radiator from a golf mk2 turbo diesel (I think, same width as a VR6 radiator) Modified radiator fan cowling from a Seat Inca van (car runs so cool due to size of radiator that the fan has not needed to come on yet) Full black leather interior Stainless steel Powerflow exhaust system including de-cat pipe Spax adjustable suspension Technomagnesio 15" alloys Golf mk3 TDI modified k-frame
  12. Ahh i see, was wondering how you knew the area :D I am going to get a picture of my car with Dunnotar castle in the background. The fuel consumption is so good. I used to drive a Polo 6N2 1.4 (first car) and it didn't get anything near what i get with the TDI. Sounds like a good idea just need to find yourself a donor car. I have had a look now and again on the database. Some real nice cars on there. These Corrado's fairly get a huge following by enthusiasts all over the world. It does sound like a weird idea, but in my opinion, if I want a car that is fast I'll jump into my G60 :D The TDI is just for running everyday to work so it doesn't cost me so much money on fuel which is a big issue these days. Haha lucky for some, might have to move over there in future!
  13. Hi mate, the photo was taken last Sunday outside the Blairdaff ruins near Inverurie. Was out for a drive and drove past it by pure accident and thought that it would make a nice background for a picture of the car Yeah your right its the Ship is down at the harbour :thumb right: Great pub. Definitly the best forum going.
  14. Cheers Supercharged, I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my cars, like everything to be done right and not botched. The engine bay looks almost like the engine came standard in the car, apart from the colour coded engine cover and induction kit. Its a real head turner around where I live, especially with the sound of the diesel
