had two 8v's, slammed with coilovers.. great fun but eventually got sick of the harsh ride, cabin noise and other annoyances/

only ever had 8valvers, one 1990 big bumper, one older small bumper.

Hi all, i'm thinking about getting a rado, i've never had one before. I've had a couple of mk2 golf GTI's but always got fed up or rattley dashes, and doing 4000 rpm at 70mph. if looking at either the 1.8 or 2.0 models, not the fun ones, i know, but i cant afford the insurance/running costs. are the smaller engined models geared so they cruise comfortably at 70 without the engine screaming? and how is reliability overall?
