  1. white van man strikes again...downer...good chattin mate,as ya say, maybe see ya about.
  2. Good lad, will keep my eyes open for ya,was brought up in tonge moor funnily enough...they threw me out for good behaiviour...lol..did see one on Ainsworth lane few months back....reddish...i think.....hard to tell when you got kids pulling your earoles...
  3. How do Josh,Astley Bridge, within smelling distance of Warburtons Bread factory lol...born n bread...got a raddo for sale funnily enough...see other post.
  4. No wonder it's took 5 years...spent more time taking photos....all them gonzo welding pics lol!...but attention to detail is stunning!...good find.
  5. I don't see any difference between 3 seats at the back of a corrado, and a nisan micra or similar small car...more bothered about the legality of it can you just ring the dvla and say its got 5 seats now chaps...tatty bye?...lol...My insurance asked if it was 4 or 5 seats and I just said 5 for the hell of it and just in case I do some kinda conversion...but would insurance company pull you on the number of seats if say you had 4 passengers and the log book states "4 seater"...in the even of a claim?...
  6. Hi,excuse if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find anything.. Overlooking the practical, cramped area, extra seat belt / lap belt required, removal of bolster ect, which could be tricky, but not impossible to overcome.. Question is,Is it legal?...V5 says it seats 4...is it possible to inform them of an extra seat and have the log book amended?... Then there's the insurance issue.... Anyone done, looked into this?
  7. Hi...can't help personally but,I just googled (images) "corrado wiring diagram" ...and came up with some good hits...sure it will help somewhat...let us know how you get on.
  8. Update:..I got under the hood with my trusty screwdriver.....(looking like some mangled dalek bent over the block)...in the dark...nearly lost a finger in the pullys...I love my raddo! ...and the noise is a metallic grating deffo at the back of the block..around the exhaust manifold area....I didnt drop the oil...due to grotty weather and not being able to get an oil filter till tomorrow...does that shed light,or just create more shadows?...
  9. Nice to see another, northern member....Nice raddo too....I'm new also....Great forum by the way,I've had loads of help already...
  10. Kev,thanks for all the useful pointers...you got me thinking about the milage actually, feeling more chuffed with my purchase and after a more detailed look through the service history showed that in march 2005...it had 152,000 on the clock...3 k in six years!...wonder where its been....mmm anyway back to topic...going to try and drop the oil later...and get a screwdriver on the block...
  11. Fendervg...i can't see any loose,,,is ther any hidden from view? maybe under the exhaust manifold?
  12. Yeah...10,000 miles in 8 years!....Laffin...also fanbelt and tensioner were replaced 2 months ago...would that have any bearing....on the bearings?...
  13. Agree 100% with above,It's just another idea to empty the pockets of the populace.... Why doesn't the government just set up its own insurance company...and bung 3rd party insurance cost onto the road tax? They make more money,to put back into the roads,we don't get scammed by the insurance companies....jobs a good un! Maybe it's just too good an idea and makes sense?...... while they at it get push bikes taxed and 3rd party covered, and proficiency tested too... even at say £10.00 a year they would make stacks of cash... who's paying for all the green slippery garbage on the roads?...and if they hit me it's my insurance paying out!!!!... Grumbles into distance...
  14. Re the timing chain and guides, they were replaced 10,000 miles ago....so would hope they are ok?....it was 8 years ago though...do they milage wear,or age degrade and slaken?...
  15. Hi again,it's all the time....the pully bearings does sound feasable...as it does sound like its outside, rather than in the block, but hard to tell...I will get a screwdriver and an earhole on the job later after work... It's doing my head in a bit now, more i listen to it,worse it sounds...think that's just paranoia though... there isn't any metal plates around that area is there?,that could be vibrating?...as it doesnt seem to increase speed with acceleration....just changes the sound....god it's difficult writing about sounds,lol...will have another bash at getting a soundfile uploaded thanks again...
