  6. Hey Phil - I'd given up on your BBS a long time ago! ;) I haven't been to look at it yet, hoping to at the weekend. I've got one pic of it and it looks mint. Who's everyone insured with?
  7. I need to double check on the history. I'm thinking about buying it but need to get an insurance quote!
  8. "1995 (Aug) VW Corrado VR6. 66,000 miles. Immaculate condition. Completely original – no modifications. 3 owners from new (including current). Fully spec'd with all optional extras fitted. Blackberry metallic with black leather interior, heated seats, electric tilt/slide sunroof, stereo with 10 disc autochanger, electric heated mirrors, trip computer. Car will be sold with 12 months MOT/road tax and recent service. " I'm guesing £5500? Opinions please.... Cheers Paul
  9. Without sounding detremental to the region - I wouldn't bother. Very poor attendance since No-Rice started in Guildford.
  10. as stated above, when putting the alarm into valet mode you don't get chirps, the indicators simply flash once and the light stays on. (if anyone else's is different, please post up). to get into valet mode, press the small button on the right of the remote twice, then the big button.
  11. it would be so much "better" if it was at the same height as the car, had the same wheels and lights and had the bumper's the same....
  12. battery in the siren is dead or you've permenantly activated "silent chirps" or you are pressing the wrong button! Valet mode shouldn't give you chirps anyway.
  13. cheers all. I'll try it again if there's a break in the weather at the weekend.
  14. er, actually I did rub it in, but I'll try harder next time!
  15. southside will be able to sort you out a good deal!
  16. you need to speak to Stud (studweiser) on CGTI forum.
  17. this probably doesn't affect rado owners, but I now don't rate Meguires trim detailer that much. Looks fantastic when it goes on bit got washed off with one light shower! I've now got streaky strips!
  18. with regard to the MK2 golf - "Rear disc callipers on GTi can go and cost £300 each." i think they need to find a new supplier!
  19. Meguire's for me at the moment. Met John at http://www.cleanandshiny.co.uk/ in Camberley, who saved me £ by not selling me stuff I didn't need, explaining what's what and demo-ing on my shed of a golf. Very impressed and I've only used the wash stuff so far! I can't recommend the wash mit thing enough, there was dirt coming off my car I couldn't even see.
  20. hmm, doesn't appear to be working!
  21. He certainly did. A corker on ATS cups. Nice one Jay, look forward to seeing the article  DOH - I've only just put 2 and 2 together! James, we met at Thruxton Rolling Road years ago and then at the South London meet about 3 years ago! Oh yeah and congrats on the feature. Now get that engine bay painted! cheers Paul
