  1. im after a steering wheel boss to suit my 1991 g60. ive got two momo wheels and want one to suit that type of wheel, if anyones got one cheap. i think i have the larger spline type column. cheers Paul
  2. ok ive had to do some bits to get the corrado up in the air of the coil overs and taken it back to the mot station, but on my way i noticed a horrible noise coming from the top end of the engine. Are the tappets hydralic or not as i keep saying im new to these cars. funny thing though when i got there ( i did drive it hard to see if it would clear ) the noise was still there and suddenly stopped and the noise completly went. now i know the cars been stood a while and the oil isnt the best in it so should i flush it out with some wyns flush or just give it an oil change, i dont like using flushes for some reason but if its a sticking tappet then it should free it up a bit. also whats the best grade oil to use, its done about 150k so its well run in now, i work for a motor factors and have tried all my suppliers and they reccomend 10w/40 semi but has anyone got a better grade to use for high miles? sorry bout all the questions im asking on this forum but ill be honest ive joined many forums for diferent cars in the past and the people on here are so helpful and offer good advice, unlike a few of the other sites ive joined. cheers Paul
  3. on my 1991 g60 i have to wiggle the back of the barrel to start the car. does anyone know whats up with it, as soon as i touch the wires it starts. new to corrados ( tell by all the random posts i do ) but everytime i get one thing done to the car somthing else pops up as a problem. Has anyone else had this problem or am i just unlucky.
  4. been thinking bout fitting a supercharger boost gauge to my g60 but dont no where to begin. theres probably a thread on here to do it. where do i get the gauge? whats the best one to get, been on ebay and theres a whole selection to be had. where do i plumb it in?

    coilover bits

    my g60 wont go into mot as its too low and they have put the suspension up on three of the coil overs but the fourth one is stuck. basically im after the lock nut and nut under the coil spring itself. they are made by jom and i can not find anyone whos got any spare ones. ive tried veedubmachine to no avail. please help me im stuck as wanted to get the car sorted and back on the road..
  6. ok the mot place said it will fail because the wheels rub the inner wing on full lock, if i wind the suspension up will that stop this?

    thanks guys its open now but can not see why it wont reopen on the lever. a bit more investigating. went in for mot today and had to lift the bonnet for them lol. bit embarrassing.
  8. yes me again ive opened the bonnet and dicussed the oil cooler but there seems to be a leak somwhere. whats the best oil filter to fit on the car as the old one is a tall one and sits pretty close to the oil cooler itself. need to change it for a new one this weekend when i do the oil change. the engine is dry apart from just around the oil pressure switch on the filter housing and around it, oil leaks under the car but not when on tick over. seems to leave a small amount of oil under the whole engine bay ( not good as its parked on a neighbours garden) any advice as to where i need to look would be helpful. cheers newbie paul
  9. well after the bonnet catch being broken i finally managed to open it . to find somone has fitted an oil cooler. the pipe going to and from dont look right to me, they look like gas pipes ( the flexi type) correct me if im wrong but this can not be right. does anyone know if that is or reccomend a better way of doing it.
  10. new owner here. just purchased a g60 which is sound and has everything i wanted on the car, stainless steel exhaust 16" alloys and coil overs. thing is its sat right down on the floor, which looks great but are there any complications for the wishbones/ball joints with it this low. looking through the history with the car and it seems to have had a couple of arms in the past 5 years. is this normal. i just got rid of a nugget yellow corrado which had the worst lower arms ive ever seen on a car, the bushes just fell out when i removed the arms. not been into vws long as i was a bmw man but got put off by running costs and problems so have i got into the same with my corrado. sorry for all the questions but im new to these cars and was looking for advice.. any answers would be good thanks

    thanks guys, im going to go round to it later today and see if i can release the grille without breaking it. ive not had the car long and just wanna sort some bits out under there.ill let you know how it goes . cheers

    hi guys just bought a g60 and can not open the bonnet, it opens the catch on the passengers side but not the drivers side. any ideas???? oh new to the forum so hi....
