Having investigated why I could not see out of any window when it rained, I found out that a previous owner had bodged my foliage cover. There was no plastic mesh on top - just thin plastic that was held in place with a few screws. I have now got myself a used with foliage cover (with mesh) and new seal from VW. Before I fit it should the foliage cover have a pollen filter on top, or was this an option? I have ordered a pollen filter but do not have any clips, etc to attach it to the top of the foliage cover. Many thanks in advance for any advice.

Auto Storm Aqua Corrado Car Cover I bought this car cover set from J.F. Stanley & Co. (https://www.autopyjama.com/auto-storm-uk/) in November 2011, when I lived in Hong Kong and did not have a garage. It cost me GBP 243 new and was used for 4 months. It did not see much of the elements as November through to April (when my Corrado was shipped back to UK) is dry season. This car cover set has never been exposed to frost or snow. There are two covers and both are 100% waterproof and act together like Goretex. The straps were used once and aside from the padlock, everything is complete. Hi, Apologies for the delay in responding. I have had issues with my broadband. Upon further inspection, the nearside fogs lights have a broken surround around them and the offside do not. I imagine that the nearside fog lights were replaced at some point over the past 24 years. I will inspect the nearside fog lights further tomorrow and see if I can just remove the broken surround and bring it back to original spec. Any further thoughts on this?

I bought this grille: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-VOLKSWAGEN-VW-CORRADO-16V-FRONT-GRILLE-GRILL-/200825384951 off of eBay last weekend and have decided to stick with my original 16v grille. This grille is as good as new. The 16v badge is in good condition and the chrome on the VW badge has faded with time. It should not be. The part number you gave is for the later grille. I need to sell the grille I just received as it does not fit my 1990 16v.

The part number on the later grille is 535 853 653.

Thanks tentonhammer. I ended up winning the 4 slat on ebay this afternoon. I am not sure what to do with the 7 slat. It is in perfect condition and the 'VW' and '16V' are unblemished. I shall fit the 4 slat and let you know if I decide to sell my original one. Cheers, Simon
