  1. My other plan was to wedge something from the floor to support the seat, as I never have people in the back. But it'd be nice to fix properly.
  2. My drivers seat recline is knackered, it stays in place on one side , but the other side slips. I've had the seat out already and I can see the big cog ring seems to seperate a but then slip around about an inch. Any ideas bar welding it?!
  3. Up for sale is an original 1995 2.0 16v (9A) Corrado in ‘Diamond Black Pearl Effect’. Currently on 140k miles with 8 months mot, car is currently SORN, but I can putt tax on for cost, 6 Previous owners. 2 Keys & alarm fobs. The OBC works perfectly as well as all electrics, sunroof tilt and slide, windows etc. The spoiler lifts correctly at around 55mph. Factory fitted alarm. All knobs on the heater work, and it blows hot and cold. The last stamped service was at 133k and I have done an oil change around 1500 miles ago. Cambelt changed at 120k. I’ve changed the HT leads, sparks, water pump, coolant and oil filter in the last 2,000 miles as well. Tyres all have 5mm+ on them. Unfortunately both doors are showing some bubbling in the corner of them. Not big, but enough to need some attention. As you can see from the photos, there is a stack of history with this car, showing it has been looked after. I’ve got a new company car coming, so unfortunately I won’t be using this car anymore. I've reduced this to £1350 as my company car has arrived. Call me on: zero 7793 nine 55 6 two 7. Belt squeak

Hi, I did swap the pump, a bit after this topic, and it stopped. But it may have been the tension on the belt. The old pump was also eating its self, metal on metal. It's not a hard job, so I'd swap the pump, belts and coolant and it should be good!

  6. Ha. I wish she'd told me before looking at it in horizontal rain for 30 minutes! I'll give it a go. Filter changed only a few K ago.
  7. Went to sort it out last night. Everything seemed fine, good power from the alternator, nothing looked broken etc. So I figured it could be some crap from the petrol tank. It had a few gallons left, but figured it couldn't hurt. £40 later and 30 minutes of sitting in the car turning it over, it finally cleared and ran like normal. I explained to my other half who said she'd only just put petrol in it. Weird, but might have been crap stuff. Anyway, I asked about the water on the bonnet lining and she said she'd driven through puddles maybe a little fast as she likes the water splashing! That'll explain the wet and also why the electrics kept playing up. Everything was probably wet! Bloody women. Thanks for help/suggestions.
  8. If I don't push it off a cliff I'll change it.
  9. Interesting. The car should still start though! Just overheat, which it's not doing
  10. I've gone through the excite wire problem before, and had to replace it. I will of course be checking I'm getting ~14v from it later on.
  11. It was driven last night for 30 miles and it started doing funny electrics. So dim lights, slow wipers etc. Not what I want to happen to the wife at 11pm. Then this morning it was similar and started choking. IT got progressively worse, to the point that it wouldn't start. I think the water is unrelated, but I've never seen it before. Saying that, if I ever pop the bonnet it'll be once its warm (evaporated) or after its been in a garage. I took one of the HT cables off and the end had a tiny bit of moisture on it. But thats all I've done as I was late for work. I'm going to take my tools and look tonight. Just wanted some ideas to look att
  12. Pump is 500 miles old. It wouldn't be leaking, it'd be spraying coolant. I got it to run for 30 seconds and gave it some revs and no liquid to be seen.
  13. It'd been driven for 1/2 mile
