Yeah, thought so ... spotted one in a scrappy the other day and just by eye thought they would be. Guess i'll just have to keep my eye's open

OK, so we are all now aware that the Lupo arms fit OK. Now this will have been discussed in depth, no dount. I'm not trolling the forums to find it though. The new Golf arms of the same style ... Do these fit, or are they too large ?

How much are the wee metal repair bits ? [ maybe should be in the article too ? ]
-
Well, its holding for now and, either way, gives me time to get my own repaired .... will post back how I get on with a repair for anyone considering it

Headlight repaired thanks for Iain craigowl

Craig, your replacement would be ideal and a tenner is fine. You busy this weekend ?

Do you have the Bitmap and is it to scale, or at least something to scale and the size it should be ? If so, post it up and i'll ask about. I know 1 guy who might be able to get that drawn up. Still need toi find someone to cut it though. As you can probably tell, my headlight switch has just gone, which is a bit of a pain in the arse. Happened when it was dark, so haven't been able to look atr it in day light yet Are the lights useable without the switch ... ie manually do the job of the switch if the switch mechanism is removed ? At the moment a 10mm spanner and the battery lead are my friend to save me getting a dead battery :-)

I have just been havoing about the forum for info on the headlight switch and came accross this, so i am sorry if I have missed the answer to my question, but does anyone know what happened with this. Were these repair kits ever made?

Hi there, I'm finally getting around to lowering my C after nearly a year and a 1/2 of ownership. The obvious kit to go for is the KONI / EIBACH setup, however, I have a few mates with Golf GTi's who swear by Raceland stuff. The Raceland stuff is certainly cheaper than the KONI / EIBACK kit and i'm wondering if anyone has experience of either setups. Really just want to know if the KONI / EIBACH setup is pound for pound better that my cheaper option. NOTE: Maybe i'm not looking hard enough, but i'm sure when I originally looked Raceland did a set of Shocks for the VR6 Corrado, but at this moment, I can't see them on the site, so this topic may turn out to be about spring choice only, unless someone spots the shocks somewhere ta

Ummm. I was told its 'Swarchz Black' ... not sure if thats Correct though. Its very dark, charcoal verging on black

This I presumed would just be one tiny simple little problem ... but even with this I have to start taking the car appart !! How many regular breakages occur in a Corrado that don't involve stripping the guts out the car ??????

Hmmm. Guess i'll just have to live without AM stations for a while then. After a wee days jaunt, the MW/LW signals are just as mince with the new aerial. So i'm now on the hunt for the aerial base as well. And the list grows yet again
-
For some reason presumed you meant a Blaupunkt stereo, rather than aerial ... anyway. Confussion cleared. The aerial I have was stolen straight out of a brand spanking new hire VW Polo, after some swine swiped mine. So I can't understand how its stuffed. And at £40 bucks for a replacement II bloody hope not. Anyway ... I tried replacing the aerial with a new one I have ... a wee bee-sting show thinger, so wasn't expecting a great signal anyway ... and the MW signal seemed to be stronger, but the MW was still mince. I will try and get hold of another aerial anyway and see if that improves it. I guess i'll have to take the stereo out the car as well and see if it works in some other car. Oh ... Vauxhalls have the exact same aerial as out nice wee vw's, so i'd be having a look at your neighbours cars b4 forking out £40 for a replacement

99% of the time I don't, but Radio Scotland broadcast the football sometimes only on their MW Channel and one day when trying to tune in to get the latest scores is when I found the problem. Up here in Scotland (and I think anywhere outside London). MW is the only channel to get Virgin on as well, which used to be good, although I aint listened to it in years. And on LW, they have Atlantic 252 which my sister used to listed to many moons ago, which is the only reason I know about it Don't know about the rest of you

That looks very much like the part Joe ... looks like i'll be heading to the FORD garage round the corner :) I also heard the the wee pipe that comes out the top of the VR radiator can be replaced with the part from a Galaxy as well. Not sure if that true though, but I need that part as well at some point, as mine if a bit nackerted, but holding for now
-
Hi Joe ... I have my name down for the track night ... I can't afford it right now though, but rest assured i'm looking down the back of every couch to see if I can make it. Have a funny feeling you're wee beastie will be a tad quicker round the track then me though 8)

The car had only done 63000 miles when I bought it ... unfortunately i started dating a girl on the other side of the country from me and now do a regular Glasgow to Edinburgh trip every other week and have also driven the car extensively for pleasure and its now up to 73000 miles ... loved just about everyone of them though I hate to say it as well, but the car doesnt get looked after as much as it should either ... I just dont have the time to wash it and polish it as much as I would like to ... but it does clean up well. As for the ride height ... I did plan to get this sorted. But the addition of a new female friend living so far away kinda stuffed those plans. And the odd unaccounted for fault ... radiator replacement. water pump replacement :( And I wish I had had the spare 100 quid, as when the water pump was replaced, that would have been an ideal time to do the engine mounts. But alas, they looked ok. Lets hope they last until I can afford to replace them. Next on the list for me is some new front brake disks and pads and getting my tracking done.

I bought a Sony stereo. The car came with nothing

Car is just a nice plain VR6 ... cost me £5000 a few months ago. Bargin I think! And it was quite local too :) Black Cloth interior ... I intend to use the car on track, so chose this by preference, as the leather can be a little slidey in the corners. Engine wise its completely standard, although I do have a nice big cone to fit on, as i've heard it makes the car sound amazing. It did come with a Remus exhaust though, which is a decent peice of kit and sounds great when warmed up as well. The car won't be modified for a while ... basically gotta sort out all the lil faults ... rattles, door handle, sunroof etc ... oh and a split Oil Breather hose, which I just found today :( So expect me to picking your brains in the other forum sections, although I guess I will find the answers in there all ready, as everyone has had the same problems at some time from what I can establish

Hi there, Recently I installed a stereo in my Corrado VR6 (1994). The car came without a stereo, so I have just pisked up on this problem. Basically, the FM signal is perfect, but the MW and LW Bands are as good as useless ... it is there, but so faint the car has to be standing still before you hear it, but even then its mostly hiss. I know Japanese cars for example have a different frequency range, but with this being a european car I ruled that out. Plus I also had a 1994 Golf before the Corrado which never had this problem. I have been told that it COULD be something to do with the AM aerial. The AM signal does not come in through the roof aerial, it comes through a small coil type thing ... im not sure if thats on the back of the stereo or inside the stereo. But I was told that maybe that could be damaged and thats why i'm getting no reception. Does anyone know anything about these ? or have any other ideas as to the problem, so that I don't have to take the stereo out, or back ??
-
Well, after a fair few month of ownership i've decided I really should pay attenting to the Corrado forums. I love my car to bits, but its suffering from the usual Corrado problems. Anyway, heres a wee picture of my car. pics thumbnailed-vr6storm And just because I love my car so much, I got some artwork comissioned of it :-)

Looks at you all. All this modern day mumbo jumbo and you can't even make it work .... In my day we made our own paper from trees and we've never looked back :D Nah ... i'm only 22. Can't get the heap of crap to work either and am even having problems using Opera. Although I think this may be a problem with my PC :(
