    The wiring in the first second and third pictures seems to go by the ignition coil and the second photo by where the airbox would be.

    I've been going through my wiring harnesses and labelling plugs and wires as it has come back from a 'mechanic' in pieces :/ I've found out what most of them are but stuck on a few and was wondering if any of you guys knew, they are all attached in pictures :) its a 1.8 16v KR engine. http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/n486/golfmk3tdi1/Mobile%20Uploads/IMAG0467_zpskgl28crx.jpg[/img]

My engine wiring harness is in a mess and I need some help identifying the wires and connections, the car is a VW Corrado 1.8 16v, I bought a Golf mk2 Haynes manual for reference but it only details the wiring diagrams for the GTI with the CE2 fuse box, and my car has a CE1 fuse box and none of the wire colours seem to match for instance the 3 hall sensor wires are different colours in the diagrams for the Golf 1.8 16v than they are in my corrado 1.8 16v, and there are no manuals or diagrams which are readily available for my corrado, can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Just for whoever may be interested in a build that I am doing at the moment :) Corrado 1.8 16v KR engine professionally remachined bored and lined to perfect standard 81mm, main and big end bearings replaced with brand new, Audi S2 coupe pistons stripped apart and rebuilt with new pins, rings and locks, ARP head stud kit with steel multi layered headgasket, fully rebuilt cylinder head (not sure to port and polish yet). Oldschool Turbo Technics management with rebuilt Garret T25 turbocharger, Turbo Technics cast exhaust manifold, full Powerflow exhaust system.

Hi! the engine is a 1.8 16v 4 cylinder so don't have the worry of 6 cylinders haha, yeah as soon as the block is stripped apart its going to be taken to the machine shop and honed, tolerances checked then machine washed and painted, the ovalization was the concern that I did have though which is why I want it to be done properly, the original engines compression test results were 140, 135, 142, 100 on a dry test, and on a wet test cylinder #4 jumped up from 100 to 140 (Y)
