  1. battery is good, needed a charge after sitting for for a few months but now is good. Or, is there a separate battery for the radio?
  2. My newly acwuired 93 VR6 turns over but will not fire. I have it at a mechanic who's got a good reputation but I live in a small remote town and he's just not very experienced with 20 YO German made vehicles. He tells me all relays are all okay and he thought is may be a bad cam sensor, so that was replaced but it's still not firing. He's now noted that the radio is completely dead i.e. it won't even allow entry of the security code. Is that a likely source of the problem? He thinks it's possibly the radio is imobilizing the computer. Also, he can't get any codes out of the computer? Any ideas on where to go with this, is it the radio or the computer? Or is it possible that it's still an issue back at the fuses?
  3. I'm having a similar issue with my VR6, turns over but won't start, no spark, no fuel. Another sympton is the radio is completely dead i.e. it will not power up to allow security code input. What does this mean? Is the radio a possible source of the problem is it a symptom of something else? I understand the radio has an immobilizer function.
