1. 1.8 16v g plate

Hi up for sale is my Helios blue valver , she's got about 8 months mot on her, stainless exhaust, bbs wheels, rear shocks were replaced on the last mot aswell as a brake calliper.

Was used daily up until last week( bought a new car:-( .

Mileage is about 130000m, starts first time and pulls very well.

Negative points are , front engine mount has a little play in it but did pass the mot ok, heater matrix could get a little hotter in my opinion, electric windows are tired do go up and down slowly with a bit of assistance, usual condition for a 24 yo car

More pics will appear later on in the week

    List Date: 11/24/2014

  2. I'm in Swansea and saw a n reg in pontardawe today the first one 1 have seen in , well as long as I can remember . I will be going to volksfest Wales and possibly Dubs at the castle, whether in the 71bay or the rado I don't know yet, all weather dependent

  3. I have just been trying to get some nice warm air blowing in my g plate valver, the matrix is not leaking so I disconected the pipes at the bulkhead and checked the flow through it, all ok.

the bypass valve seems to work ok.

It look that in the past the pipes have been replaced.

What I really want to know is which direction does the coolant flow and is the picture below in the right config.

    cheers

  4. Thanks for the reply, I did have a search but couldn't find a solution to this problem,

The pump under the car runs but there is no power to the lift pump, does the relay energise both pumps, if so isit possible for it to be only powering 1 pump or is it more likely a break down in the wiring, can a live feed be taken from somewhere in the boot as a temporary measure ?

  5. After searching I cannot find the answer, problem is there is no power at the lift pump, I thought I'd check it as the main pump is starting to buzz, I put a multimeter on each of the 4 wires on the connecter and there is no power tried it with the ignition 1 turn and engine running. I have checked the fuses under the dash all ok,

Is there more fuses somewhere or a relay for the pump, any suggestions please as I need to drive 150 miles later on , thanks all

  6. Ok does anyone know a national supplier who I can get just the coil lead from as the plug leads are ok and I don't want to fork out the best part of a 100 pound full set, cheers

    Edit it's a 1.8 16v

  7. Im hoping some ice guru could help out here, I have tried fitting a new stereo in the car but cannot get It to power up, I have checked the 10amp fuse , the one in the stereo is ok, there is 12v at the connection red wire, I have tried 3 different stereos but none have worked, I have exhausted my knowledge now, help please as I do a fair bit of travelling, thanks all

  8. I have got a 1990 1.8 16v, exhaust is in a pretty ****ty state, what have you got stock or aftermarket, I live in Swansea and work in Oxford so m4 corridor unless you can post. Needed ASAP really thanks all
