  1. Hello! Well, after 20 years of drooling over Corrado VR6 photos I finally acquired one last October! She's an original, unmolested 94 VR6 in Dragon Green, the classic colour I've always wanted. I have previously owned a Jetta GTI 16V (superb engine), Polo 16V, Lupo 16V and a Golf GT TDI PD. Also a 1984 Audi 80 Sport in my younger days, which I loved. She has full a service history (95% main dealer) with a shed load of receipts and old MOT's. Two previous owners, the last one being a genuine careful lady driver for 15 years. 116k on the clock, but in pretty good condition and nothing that a bit of TLC and a few quid can't put right! It's my intention to keep her in original condition where possible. I have already had some work done, either by myself or a local VW specialist. The entire rear suspension has been rebuild using quality, standard parts and all the bushes and shocks etc replaced. New brake pipes throughout (solid and flexible), brake bias regulator, fuel filter, ignition leads, plugs (to replace the incorrect set a main dealer fitted..), spoiler dash switch, stereo face plate, wiper arm lugs filed down and aero blades fitted (huge difference!), uprated headlight bulbs, expansion tank lid, drivers wiper arm to replace the one which snapped in half, an o/s indicator, radiator top elbow and a small section of rear roof trim that flew off at, ermmm, high speed! Ebay is my saviour :) My plan over the next few months is to rebuild the front suspension and replace all the bushes, replace the auxiliary belt tensioner and belt, fix an oil leak from the cam cover, change the gearbox oil for Redline MT-90, upgrade the headlight loom and replace all the tyres with Michelin Pilot Exalto's. The paintwork has a few minor surface rust blemishes here and there (one rear wheel arch, a small area beneath the rear spoiler, one inner door edge and the lower rear boot area), so they will be professionally resprayed after the mechanical work is complete. It's not my intention to turn her into a show car, but just to keep her in good overall condition and enjoy driving for many years to come. The car gets admiring looks and a few people have already stopped to chat about it! I live in Derbyshire, not far from Junction 28 of the M1 and have only seen one other Corrado in the last 6 months, a blue VR6 in Frankie and Benny's car park near Mansfield. Cheers!
