No I didn't know that lol. Where will I get one of them? The stealers? Thanks for your reply :) Tom ---------- Post added at 1:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 1:30 PM ---------- Still would like some inpro's though cos I think they look good lol

Anyone got a set of inpro headlights in good condition going cheap as one of my headlight adjusters is broken and I have been told it can fail its MOT on it. I would rather get a set of inpro's than a new standard one. Cheers Tom

Thanks for all ur reply's :) I already have a k&n panel filter in but I'm really looking for a better noise lol. What if I did fit an indution kit but put a few breather pipes from the grill and a heat shield on would this give me the cold air it needs? Yeh kip I may well be interested in that if this is what I decide to do lol. Is it in good condition? And what make is it?
-
Just wondered if k&n make an induction kit for the 2.0 8v? I've had a search but can't seem to find any. Or even better if anyone has a good induction kit that will fit my car going cheap give me a shout. Cheers Tom

Apparently they are obsolete from vw :(

Sound cheers man I'll give the stealers a ring then
-
No I've not tryed another yet man because I dnt know where to get a new one from lol.
-
Sound thanks man I'll check that relay tomorrow, where can u get a new one from? I'll have to check on the Clifford manual to see exactly what it dose aswell. While u mentioned it what exactly is valet mode? Lol
-
Sound Ian do u know what number it is? Or should I just check in the manual?
-
Cheers bud I'll try my other key tomorrow and see if that makes a difference. Where abouts on the car is the ECU relay? Also there is a little switch with two buttons on under my drivers shelf and is something to do with the Clifford alarm (but not quite sure exactly what it dose? I think something to do with a pass code?) I checked the two wires on it today and one is slightly split. I dnt know if this could cause my issue? I was going to cut and fix it today but wasn't sure if dissconecting would mess up the alarm system and cause me even more problems lol.

Hi everyone could someone please give me some advice. Last Friday I had two new rear abs sensors and a calaper fitted which has sorted out my abs fault. But on the same day propably coincidental the car had a violent loss of power and started stuttering so turned the engine off and then back on and was fine for the rest of the journey. Since then it has been very hard to get started in the morning and after work. It fires up and then immediately cuts out again and takes about ten goes before staying on and running. It has also once while just driving along at about 2k revs in forth gear just lost it's revs completely but didnt stall and then came back on by its self. And has also done the violent loss of power a couple more times and now started cutting out completely sometimes at junctions. I had it plugged in on Friday at work and only came up with one fault wich was "17978 P1570 engine controle unit blocked" so we cleared the fault and then I had it plugged in again yesterday at the local vw garage where my abs was done and it said the same thing. I have searched the fault codes on here and in google and it seems to be an immobiliser fault, the thing it my car has a Clifford 650 alarm and immobiliser fitted wich has been on the car and working fine since I bought the car, so I'm not sure if what I've read applies to my issue. I say this because other things I've read seem to be when other people change something to do with the ecu they get this fault but I haven't touched it apart from the abs. My car is a 2.0 8v. If anyone could please help me out it would be much appreciated because I am really worried that it is going to let me down cos I need it for work and it's only my second week in tommorow so I dnt particually want to be breaking down. Cheers guys, Tom.

Hello everyone I would like some advice about an issue with my rear brakes if anyone can help? It started a while ago when I had it jacked up with the rear drivers side wheel off and realised that I could turn the hub even though the hand brake was on. I checked the other side and all seemed fine so thought I must need a new caliper. I was in the process of buying all new rubber suspension parts such as wishbones and all the bushes and stuff, so I thought I'll get them sorted first. I took it down to my local vw specialist to get them all fitted. When I picked the car up he told me that he had had to replace the rear brake hoses because they where corroded. A day or two after I got out of the car after a short journey and noticed that the drivers side rear disc (on the one that I had previously thought was knakerd) was glowing red hot! It has only done this the once though. Since then the ABS light comes on as soon as I start driving (but on start up it comes on and goes out as it should). Once it has slammed on when I was accelerating which I must admit was scary and occasionally it feels like it's pushing the pedel back when I brake. I have taken it back to the garage and had it plugged in and the computer had errors for both the rear sensors more on the passenger side though?! :/ confuesed now lol. So he says I will need both rear sensors and a drivers side caliper. So if anyone could shed some light on this I would much appreciate it. Thanks for reading. :D!

Sorry for sounding daft but they arnt original lights are they? So I couldn't just do the same to my lights lol? Would I need any different bulbs? And they are in good condition and fully working? Sorry but just making sure lol. Cheers bud :)

Interested in the rear lights bud. Where they bought tinted or have the been done DIY? Will one of the nuts of my lights replace the missing one? And dose the price include post? Cheers
-

I'll have the late heated screen switch mate will u pm me please
-
Thanks guys I'll have to have another go at the weekend :)

Hi i know this subject has been dicussed before but i cant seem to find the answer to my problem lol. My heated rear screen dosnt work, but the switch dosent light up when pressed either. I have mangaged to pop the front of the switch off (i dont think this is the correct way to accsess it) and the little green led is on when the ignition is on but the other led dose nothing. I have changed the fuse and thats not it. Can anybody tell me the correct way to remove the switch so I can see the wires and do u have to remove the fog and heated seats switch's too as a panel? Im just guessing that it is the switch that is faulty seeing that the light dosnt work? cheers tom

Thanks for all your advice :) I really appreciate it. I am defiantly goin to replace all the rubber suspendtion parts and wish bones and stuff and goin to see how it feels with the -35mm apex springs, I can always change them back if I think they feel terrible. Wish me luck lol, I just hope it makes it more like I want it Thanks for your help :)

Well I am working on a budget at the moment and was going to get lemforder parts, are these ok? So do you think I should do all rubber bits ie. top mounts, ball joints, bump stops and going to do wishbones and bearings too. Anything ive missed while im there? because this should make it feel better and more like it should? no matter if i get springs or not? As for springs I really do want to make it slightly lower though, would -30mm instead of -35mm make much difference, i know its a stupid question lol. Will they make it feel absoultly terrible or just abit stiffer and that over bumps? I really dunno what to do lol.

So are u running 3cm lowering springs on standard shocks? I'm on 16" wheels with 45's ---------- Post added at 12:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:23 PM ---------- You see the thing is that money is an issue, the fact that I dnt have much haha. So I can't afford to go and buy a set of blisten shocks at the moment. I'd be happy if it was a little bit tighter and smoother (which all the rubber bits might make a difference?) and to look a bit lol. I'm never expecting it to be like a new car cos it is 15 years old lol, but just a bit less chunky and a bit tighter round the bends will do lol. Any thoughts? Cheers guys.
