Hi twin45, Could you let me know what condition the black bonnet is in, and if possible the paint code too? My car is still with my mechanic, so I can't check the paint code until mid week, but I'm sure it is Brilliant Black Metallic: LA9V, rather than the plain Black: LO41. Thanks for the reply.

Hi, I'm new to this, so hope I am doing things correctly! Basically my engine decided to try and jump out of the bonnet because its rear mount was faulty. The result of this was a bent and paint damaged bonnet. I have been told that a repair and respray is likely to cost upward of £250, whereas a simple respray of an undamaged bonnet would be around £150. Better still (according to the paint guy I spoke to) would be to simply get a bonnet in the correct colour! Easier said than done, I'm finding! I have seen a few late model bonnets going on Ebay for around £50 - £65, but have yet to see a black one. Anyone out there got one that isn't faded or peeling lacquer? I will happily pay £75 for the right one. Cheers in advance.
