I should think I could just get away with the front section of the sill if it comes in three parts anyway that sort of defeats the object of me being anal as I wanted to replace it all so it's perfect but even if I do replace it all it needs welds joining the sections anyway so its a waste of time. I don't suppose anyone knows how far along the sill the front section protrudes? The hole is right at the front but just about 1" away from the bottom of the arch. Also regards the battery tray, whats that elongated bit all about?

Hi guys, I've had my beloved Corrado VR6 for around two years now and for the first time I've had to change my battery.... to my utter horror I discovered that the battery tray is as rotten as a pear! Does anyone manufacture a panel for this area? Also, in general where is good for buying panels? I want to replace a wing as the indicator hole is crusty and also one of the sills has a small hole and because I'm anal I'd like to replace the entire sill... I am a welder so I'm allowed to be anal about welding! Just struggling to find anywhere that sells panels... help!

You beat me to it! (juvenile minds think alike!) In all seriousness though vaseline is awesome, I use it to coat coilovers! Did u know its cosmetic benefits were explored initially because all the people working at petroleum jelly factories had mega soft hands?

In recent weeks I've noticed a grinding noise when I operate the steering wheel. Anyone else had this? Is it just age and I have to put up with it or is there a fix? A bush, a circlip, something that needs to be lubricated? Any ideas welcome, my initial plan is to whip the wheel off asap and make sure its all clean, could just be dirt I guess?

...and no one wants to be stuck at work do they? haha. I'm on a night shift so I have until 6am tomorrow morning to try to sort this. The biggest problem I have is that all my paperwork including anything to do with the alarm is at home... as is the little key for the alarm speaker thing! I have a K reg corrado VR6 with what I believe to be a dealer fitted scorpion alarm/immobiliser. Driving to work this eve I was hit by all the torrential rain which was very very heavy, at work I parked up as normal, left the car unlocked as I park it right next to my office window and it's safe here. After about ten mins the alarm starts sounding, I go to the car and it's locked itself? I try to unlock it using the fob but this is now not working? The alarm stops and starts a few times, I decided (I don't know if this was stupid or not?) to unlock the door with the key (this set the alarm off again), pop the bonnet and disconnect the alarm speaker. Upon opening the bonnet I see what I think is the issue: the speaker has somehow come off the bracket (nut and bolt no where to be seen) so it's now hanging from it's wires, this has caused the rubber cowling to slip back and expose the plugs/sockets/wiring and furthermore it was dripping with rain water from the heavy rain. So I disconnected the speaker and have brought it inside to dry out.... ...but then I thought DOH (face palm) the immobiliser! I tried the following: Starting car with speaker disconnected - wont start starting car with speaker (still wet) connected - wont start so now I am stuck, the alarm speaker is currently disconnected and drying in the vain hope it will all work again once it's dried out (will it?). The key fob does nothing at all when I press it (the red light on it still comes on though) and the car is immobilised..... ....any thoughts? I'm pretty limited for tools at work but if I can get it home I have plenty there although me and wires don't generally mix! Any help ASAP will be GREATLY appreciated!!!!!

Hi, over the last week or so, I have noticed a faint whine noise under load whilst driving my vr. My initial thought is some sort of bearing failure but does anyone have any ideas? Or if I'm on the right lines with a bearing which one and in what? ...and no, before anyone asks it still makes the noise when my girlfriend is not in the car hahaha :)
