blueboxer started following Just bought a VR6, AQUA BLUE LC5U bonnet, passenger door, rear bumper, Drivers door latch and and 4 others

Looking for nice condition bonnet, passenger door & rear bumper in Aqua Blue LC5U. Needs to be great condition as I'm being a bit lazy. My existing bonnet is rust free but has some poor paint marks & rear bumper has some crazing. Thinking that nice condition stuff will improve the appearance & match better than the existing. If I can't find any good replacements then I'll have to do the work & get my existing ones painted. There are some on ebay but they seemed a bit expensive + they are up in Cumbria so not sure how I would get them. I'm hoping to find something in the South of england that I can pick up and take back to Jersey.

yes, that's it, just bolts to the door. Small items to Jersey are best through normal Royal Mail. It's the same as sending anywhere in the UK then. cheers

Looking for a drivers door latch/lock mechanism as the door occasionally pops open. It's for a 94 model VR6 Corrado

ok, thanks. Just checked that and the wiring seems as it should be. When I ran vagcom again with the new intake manifold temp sensor, it still showed the same error message with the fan running from the moment the car was started.

Ran vagcom on my vr6 auto . It came up with open or short to plus on the intake manifold temp sensor(G72). I changed it for a new one but then the fan came on permanently! Put the old one back in and the fan goes off. Not sure whether that means the old one isn't working or the new one is and there is a fault on the fan? Anyone here had similar?

Didn't realise it was a common problem. Thought it was just a heavy handed previous owner on my car. Can probably fabricate something to replace the creased slider but it sounds like the label/graphic trim on the outside wont be easy to find in good condition. ---------- Post added at 12:32 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:28 AM ---------- Sent you a pm

Still tinkering and just had a look at the fusebox. There is a connector hanging down in front of the relays. Anyone know what it is? I've also just run VAGCOM and just the one error code came up - Intake Manifold Temp Sensor G72. Found the sensor and it looks pretty old so will replace. It's about the only part I've not found on ebay so far so maybe it's called something other than an intake manifold temp sensor?

I read about it a while back. Looked like a good buy. He's still got it then?

I pulled the selector trim housing off and you're right, there is a thin plastic gaiter . Mine is sort of creased and tangled up within the lever mechanism so I'll have to try and find another.
-
yes, left side so if you'd like to sell it let me know how much , etc. thanks

Hi, can anyone tell me if there is something missing from the auto gear selector on my vr6. Should it have brushes or something?

Has anyone got the small tailgate trim piece that covers the hinge they can sell me. It's for the near side

Thanks, hopefully that will help me sort the fan problem. I just want the car to ride as I remember it with the standard set up, nothing fancy. The Corrado certainly left an impression with me and there aren't many other cars I owned 20+ years ago that I'd be happy to own today Just spent the last 10 mins fixing the sunroof. New old stock motor worked a treat - 30 quid on ebay.

thanks, will do. That's an ex Jersey car in your avatar isn't it?
