    New Golf

alot nicer in the flesh me thinks, off to test drive one on sunday, the mrs likes em and thinks it will be a good family motor instead of the C :( . the equivalent to the gti is the 150bhp 2.0fsi called a GTI (FSI) :?: :?: . HAVE THEY LOST THERE MINDS. past experience would say call it a GOLF GTI :!: :!: :!: :!: . its worked for the last 4 marks

  8. i dont drive my corrado very often as i'm fortunate enough to have 2 very nice other cars to drive, but this morning i decided to unwrap the c from its cotton wool and take it to work. WOW, its only been a fortnight since i drove it last but i can never remember it being such an exhilerating car to drive. goes like stink, stops on a sixpence and corners like its on rails. how did they get this car so right all those years ago :?: i'm sure alot of you feel this way every time you drive em but when you've been out of it for a bit its even better :D :D :D :D [/b]
  9. i quite agree bojmobile, after all 115 bhp isn't that much of a slouch :| , i think were all to used to banding bhp figures around, you have what ever your budget or insurance will allow, i have 175bhp out of my g60, but then i am an old git :( so insurance isn't a problem anymore, er indoors is the problem now, cant bloody win
  10. 2.0 8v was an ADY eng code 115bhp as standard, in case any one is bothered :? :?
  11. CHRISHILL: not going to lower it cos its a comfy cruisin motor, all the lowering is on me C, cheers for the kind words lads  8) FURKIG60: lookin at the auto-trader, a 2.6 v6 is worth anywhere between 8-9k, obviously depending on history, condition etc

  15. you know where the temp switch is? well there is another switch next to it , this is to do with the fuel injection, for what it costs its worth changing. i changed all these on mine before i found the prob. one is black, one is blue, pull one off and the car struggles to keep going pull the other off and the temp gauge stops working (you probably know all this but it might help) the one where it struggles, change it, might be wrong reading from this switch
  16. there are two timing marks on these, TDC (top dead centre) and the timing mark, it needs to be 6 degrees +/- 1 on the timing mark, had the same prob with mine
  17. quick phatvr6      , work hard play hard, you know how it is

  19. theres also one on auto trader for something like 9-10k (cant quite remember), just because its too expensive for some people, doesn't mean its too much. and if its as nice as you say it is (which i'm sure it is) then you'll get that amount eventually to the right person, hold out mate, take no notice of messers
