Son of a Beesting 0 Posted October 12, 2004 Hello All I am almost to embarressed to ask this question but here goes I am changing my suspension this weekend (to FK Konigsport) I am getting a friend to help me and we were looking at the parts last night. Although the FK's have new bump stops already my friend was saying you can get foam insets that compress when under load. Apparentely these make the ride better at the back. I dont know the offical name for these and that was really all I am after so when I phone up some places looking for them I dont look like a fool trying to explain waht I am after. Especially after my fiasco of a conversation with my Local VW dealer last night! Hope I have explained it well what I am after :?: excuse my ignorance
h100vw 0 Posted October 12, 2004 IMHO if you needed additional bumpstops you would get them in the kit. Check with your supplier. Bumpstops have another job over preventing sudden bottoming out but the length should have been calculated by the manufacturer to take into account all the variables, shock length, spring rate etc. I would fit them as delivered rather than trying to second guess FK.
