Danr 0 Posted October 12, 2004 Hi could someone give me a run down on the performance figures for the 2.0 16v, the g60 and vr6 standard will do, as im after a corardo now and have upto 4k to spend so was thinkin the g60 would be the best bet unless some1 can change my mind  cheers Danny

warcraft 0 Posted October 12, 2004 m8 forget figures and actually drive the cars. £4k should buy you a vr6, and imo they r the best of the bunch. certainly the quickest and with the best sounding engine. g60 for that money will get you a goodun, but it wont have the kick of the vr6
gibber 0 Posted October 12, 2004 The answers are in the "specifications" section on the Corrado Club website. http://www.corradoclub.co.uk/specifications.html haha just lifted that from another post but it will tell you all you want to know!

Danr 0 Posted October 12, 2004 8.9 to 60 for the g60 sounds very slow, ive had a golf mk2 16v, a mk1 golf with 140bhp and a mk1 toyota mr2 and i would of expected the corardo to be faster than the lot :?: im slightly disapointed. would any1 know of a vr6 or g60 for sale then in my price range can have the money by weekend for a good example g60 or vr6 only :?: the ones in for sale section seem overpriced according to warcraft lol
VR6 0 Posted October 12, 2004 That 8.9 is apparantly wrong. So the G60 boys tell us ;)
Jim 2 Posted October 12, 2004 G60 gearing makes its 0-60 time look terrible - at the traffic light GP, you won't beat a lot of similarly powered cars. The G60's strength lies whilst on the move and in gear - comes into its own once in 3rd gear and beyond :) A look at Henny's times helps back this up - suspected around 250BHP on his mega tuned G60, 0-60 is still 'only' 7 seconds - standing 1/4 mile however is around 13.4 seconds which is fapping quick. Danr 0 Posted October 12, 2004 You asked: "Hi what work has been carried out by dubsport other than mots, when was the charger last rebuilt, what stage is the charger at, have you had a quote on how much to fix the rear arch as i am led to belive that parts for corrados are expensive, and would it be possible to look at the car, " THEY DID ITS SERVICING AT THOSE MILEAGES NOT THE MOTS, THERE ARE OTHER RECEIPTS FOR WORK CARRIED OUT BY THEM... I THINK ITS JUST A STANDARD CHARGER, CHANGED AT 107k MILES. THE COST TO REPAIR THE ARCH IS APPROX £30-£50 IF THAT, I'VE ALREADY BOUGHT THE PAINT. found the car on ebay it says 1992 VOLKSWAGEN CORRADO G60, J reg. 150000 miles, extensive history, plus all MOTs/receipts, MOT/Tax, e/w, e/m, c/l, e/s.r, 17in alloys, DTM, drilled discs, active spoiler, MFA, CD, VGC. £2,295 . ovno. . Jakes Toy Store. and he is trade my bid was 1800
