Andy phone up VW's customer service dept and ask them to tell you what it was sold as(quoting the above info).................storm's chassis numbers are all over the place btw and it is never recorded on the registration book as being a storm......hope that helps.........by the sounds of it it seems genuine.....but classic green is the easiest one to fake up as a storm Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Jim 2 Posted June 2, 2003 Sounds nice Andy :) Another basic check.. there should be a different badge style on the centre console bit by the gearstick, where there is usually the normal Corrado Karmann badge. CazzaVR 0 Posted June 4, 2003 Jim, He took it to a VW specialist to be inspected for me. I phoned them later and they told me he'd driven off before the inspection and had changed his mind! He called later and was extremely apologetic, saying he couldn't face to sell it. Looked at a low miler in London too- bit tatty though :( Would've taken a few quid to sort everything out. CazzaVR 0 Posted June 7, 2003 The deal looks like it's fallen through :( It failed it's MOT because of a faulty ABS sensor, and the guy is being funny about getting it fixed :( Was gonna go for another regular VR, but the guy phoned me back and said he'd decided not to sell it! Second time that's happened in the last couple of weeks! Getting really fed up with this! Been messed around so much, I feel like giving up and sticking with the valver.
