Rob_B 0 Posted December 20, 2004 managed to get a pipe off a scraped car in the end. the guy who was making the pipe up didnt really do a very good job but to be fair he doesn't have anything to do with cars and this was more of a favour. i think the copper pipes are harder to make up than hydraulic hoses as you have to braize or weld the ends on (if this can be done with copper). the shape of the pipe he made wasnt quite the same as the original so hi didnt fit 2 well and coupled with fact there was a small hole in the weld it didnt go down well!! at this point i was quite frustrated to say the least!! anyway all fixed now! exturbo2003- i can quite believe there are a few cowboys doing recoveries, but then there are everywhere! they are the ones giving you decent guys the bad name! i should know, im an electrician and ive seen plenty of crappy and dangerous work from cowboys!!
