Headunit/disk changer compatibility

a few months back i purchased a kenwood mp3 headunit, whilst selling the car i took the headunit out to put it in whatever new car i bought. in the new motor is a sony cassette headunit with a 10 disk changer.

all my MP3 cds are now useless as the disk changer doesnt recognise them,

 

If i replaced the cassette headunit with my kenwood one, would the disk changer work with it?

it would probably be cheaper to buy another cd changer, i dont think there is an adapter availliable anyway :|

Its a catch 22, the MP3 player will allow you to have 10 albums on one disk, why not just sell the RC and Changer...
