stevemac 0 Posted January 5, 2005 Moving to "General Car Chat" as this is not an "Event Announcement" Track days at Castle Coombe are organised a few times per year - usually not during winter though... Keep an eye on the events section, as announcements will be made in there as soon as each event is organised. kebabman 0 Posted January 6, 2005 There's some CCC 'Action Days' at the start of April....they're quite cheap, but as a consequence you get lots of...how shall I put it....not so skilled drivers on the track. I wouldn't risk my car TBH. Best bet is to look at the usual suspects websites and see what they've got coming up, bookatrack.com, easytrack.co.uk, and track action are all reasonably priced ;)
corozin 0 Posted January 10, 2005 Your best bet is to go to the VW Driver Trackday, which is normally in July. It's not a "monkey's day" like the CCC type events normally are, i.e. the driving is generally of a high and considerate standard which is what you want if you are just starting out Tickets are not available yet, but details should be available on http://www.autometrix.co.uk/ from around April onwards (the date on there at the moment is last year's event!) p.s. If this is your first event make sure you get some time with the instructor as it'll get your skills and confidence up quickly. HTH John
