Roof rubber strips

How messy is it to remove and replace the strips?

I dont really know how messy the job is but I would appreciate it if someone can tell me the part number for these things mine are all worn out . did you buy new one jokey?

Pretty easy to fit, just took me a bit of time cleaning all the old sticky out before fitting the new ones. Makes a world of difference though.

My roof strips are totally shot too.

In the thread kerrinmay's put up above, Andy665 wrote in October last year there were only 7 pairs left and VW have discontinued them.

Probably got bob-hope of there being any left by now. :(

I bought 2 from GPC on saturday, less than £40 each (includinng VAT)

I asked him if they were discontinued, he didnt know what I was on about!

 

But then again he also said corrados never came with a colour coded grille... :wink:

I pulled a clean pair off a G60. Dosen't look to be that messy. I'll report when I put them on in the next few days...

Was lucky enough to get them. Local Stealers had them in stock for a couple of years and wanted to get rid of them on the cheap. I got 2 strips and the back black plate for the reg for 150 euros, about £100.
