raypau 0 Posted January 23, 2005 Am going to soon replace my sparkplugs, is anyone using iridium sparks? German car specialists wanted to charge £25 per plug!!! For anyone whois using them, do you see any difference? Apart from the fact that they are £5 more than the standard sparks. Response much appreciated. Cheers Ray

raypau 0 Posted January 23, 2005 93 VR6 Had a look at spark-plugs.co.uk, got a choice of standard plugs at £3 or the iridiums for £8.
RS VR6 0 Posted January 24, 2005 I wouldn't do it unless you go turbo or SC. I would just stick to the standard factory plugs. I am running the Denso plugs on SC'ed motor. IK 20 for normal motors IK 22 for forced induction motors
vr6storm 0 Posted January 24, 2005 i'm using iridiums in my storm.........but only because with having a schrick i needed ones with a long service life......so that i'm not having to have the schrick apart every year to change plugs...........not noticed any problems with them at all............pre-schrick i just used the standard NGK's
gibber 0 Posted January 24, 2005 Its Denso IK16 for standard motors. IK20 for IF for daily driving use IK22 for a lot of high end use! I use IK22  but havent had them in long enough to be able to rate them, they do seem to give a bit more power, but it is a bit lumpy and flat until the plugs warm up.
