Alarm question

It depends on who you use, Elephant just aked me if I had an alarm which I replied a Clifford, I said I hadn't got any documentation but it works fine and they were ok with that.

if it is a thatcham approved then you can buy a copy of the certificate, last time i heard they were £25 tho

see what they say mate but direct line would not insure me until they received the certificate

I think you can only get a valid insurance approved certificate if its installed by and approved fitter as this certifies it was fiited correctly and works as it should? If it was fitted "DIY" be the prevours owner there would never have been a certificate? May be wrong though???

no you're right mate it has to be installed by an approved fitter and the fitter must keep a record of the installation ........although you can buy a motorbike alarm that is diy fitment that is thatcham approved
