stupid question but i'd like to know

why do the blanking plates for the switches have what looks like a blob of putty in them ??

i can't sleep til i know why :cry:

yeah def blobs on the rear of every blanking plate, i thought maybe its to stopping them rattling but i dunno ?

Im sure i havent got any putty on mine so maybe it was just the prev owner stopping it from rattling around.
