Rufio16v 0 Posted February 22, 2005 hey dudes. im looking into putting a audi 20v turbo lump into my 89 1.8 16v rado, does anyone know of any major complications? cheers
ben16v 0 Posted February 22, 2005 theres a few dudes(ettes) on here who have done the 20v conversion 20vturbo biggerbigben 20veetee have a search and pm them to see what they say? but i think that is from a G60 to 20v, i think changing a 16v involves changing basically everything, ie fuel tank, engine mounting points etc.... HTH (but i could be way oof the mark)
Henny 0 Posted February 22, 2005 if you can go G60 to 20VT, it ain't gonna be that much more difficult to go 16V to 20VT as the G60 and 16V engines use the same mounting points and fuel tank... In fact, the 16V fuel pump has a higher flow rate than that of the G60! 8) I dunno how difficult/easy it is, but have a word with the people Benji mentions as they'll know the ins and outs of it... 8)
bcstudent 0 Posted February 22, 2005 The same question has been asked a load of times - I can think of at least two fairly extensive threads about it. I recommend a search.

bcstudent 0 Posted February 22, 2005 That really depends on what skills and equipment you have and what you can do yourself.
