thorpey 0 Posted March 1, 2005 my nearside rear wheel bearing was totally f**ked and the noise alone was a pain itself so i phoned a few garages/fast fit centres and the cheapest price i got was £125 so i thought sod that i would have a go myself,i met jmr at the sussex meet at the fox and he told me exactly how to do it he said it was easy to do and boy was he right!!!!!! less than an hours work and all it cost me was £8 for the bearing kit,i must say that vw have made a great design with this as all the bearings are fitted into the disc and the old one is easy to tap out and new ones installed,so next time yours goes have a go it might surprise you how easy it really is......bloody garages!!!!!!!!
