You will have to remove the actual rocker part of the switch and remove the green filter in it. Once you have the green filter out you can use a bulb cover / condom (for lack of a better word) as can be seen in the first pic below.

The bulb covers are commonly used in electronics and can be found in your local electronics / geek hangout. You can also cut some film and put it back in there but the bulb condom is the easiest and can be seen on the left side bulb in the pic.

What you want to do is remove the top of the switch and carefully insert a screwdriver between the switch body and the lever that actuates the switch and gently push the rocker part down. While holding the one side down to stop if from popping back in place repeat on the other side. The actual rocker part will come off...

This procedure can be done for the light switch, defrost switch, and the fog light switch. I'm pretty sure the seat heater switch is going to use small bulbs that look like they will be impossible to replace. Now you have the power window switches, they will need the LEDs replaced with 2.0 volt 3mm red once, it is not hard to do but you will have to pull the switch right apart. The lighter surround can be replaced by using Audi part number 441 919 343 which is red and is a direct replacement for your car. The ashtray light can be changed by removing the green colouring with a razor blade and then using a red bulb cover as in the light above.

This link has some info on the window switches and LED polarities, it is for the new stlye interiors but it may help out Changing new style interior dash light colours

Hope this helps.

Cheers, Dennis
