dig776 0 Posted March 13, 2005 Any help appreiated. To cut a long story short I needed to drain some oil off this afternoon as my oil level was over the max indicator. Unfortunately when I tried to drain some off the oil was still too hot and I dropped the sump nut into the tray! So now I am completing an oil change. Does anyone know what the oil capacity is so I don't over fill again? Ta
chubbybrown 0 Posted March 13, 2005 Its around 3.5-4.0 litres if replacing the oil filter. I'm sure a techy could be more exact, but when using a 5 litre synta can there always seems to be a wee bit left for top ups if required :-)
dig776 0 Posted March 13, 2005 Thanks Going to walk to the nearest garage to get some oil now. Shame they don't sell bosch oil filters and a set of plugs, could have done the job properly then :(

chubbybrown 0 Posted March 13, 2005 its all a learning curve, just let it cool next time and remove the filter tip oil out and replace. Do a search on synta silver on here runs nice with it and some places throw in a free oil filter with it at vag dealers
